need help with coming up with a work out routine to do at home

I'm sure you guys get 20 posts like this a day but I need information tailored to me. I've searched over this forum for a few days now and I've seen some good advice and a few things that could work for me but I would like to get some accurate advice based on my situation. I'm new to working out. I'm not a runner. I do walk on a treadmill or in my neighborhood three or four nights a week though.

OK, so, I'm 27, male, 6'2", 270 lbs. I'm not in as bad of health as it might seem for someone my size though. I want to start eating healthier, working out with weights, and possibly running (I've heard lots of good things about running). I've read several things online that have a schedule to gradually ease you into a running regimen but everything recommends that you only run three days a week with 2 or 3 days of exercise completely different from running. On these days, I would like to use weights to define my arms, chest, back, etc. Because of my work and school schedule, it's not really a good option for me to join a gym. I do own a treadmill and I can buy some weights to use. I just don't know what kind of exercises I should do with them, how many reps, what to do on what days, etc. Jump roping, push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, etc. are good for me as well. I'm just looking for some advice on how to mesh a workout routine with a running routine. Or if you guys think something different may work better for me, let me know. I'm open to all advice. I don't want to bulk up like a body builder but I do want a more defined body. I'm just sick of being overweight, tired, and feeling sorry for myself....

If you need more info about me, just ask what you need to know. Thanks a lot.

This might sound like a silly idea, but there are SO many workout routines, videos, training stuff on youtube, just type in what you want
eg. HIIT training treadmill, Strength training, At home cardio routine

I was surprised, its pretty good, so much varitaion, All different strength types, beginner to advanced ect. I dont know about everyone else but i like it.
Try Fitness Blender
full length workout sessions you can do at home and it tell you how many calories you burn or its got all sorts of weight/body building exercises.
Dunno about everyone else, but its the cheapest and most varied option for me :)

Christmas is near and along with the big present’s shopping
comes the big eat. Christmas is almost Identical with putting on weight.
After all there are so many festive parties, dinners and goodies
which you only get to enjoy once a year.
BEWARE OF THE SWEETS
Have a daily allowance of sweets.
Keep your sweet eat allowance for those sweets which you really want.
SAVE YOUR CALORIES FOR THE MAIN MEALS
You could be consuming more food than you think.
Plan your snacks and meals
PLAN FOR THE DINNER PARTY
THE ‘IT IS A HEALTHY FOOD SO IT IS OK TO EAT IT’ MISCONCEPTION
Think how far has this food come from its natural form and
how much cooking and processing it has gone through before you eat it.
Try home cooking Count all calories. WORK THE BUFFET FOOD.
Look carefully the options contained in a buffet and don’t
just go through adding everything and anything. and the way to lose wieght is exercise
you can use bike excercise. Exercise Bike is a complete, well built recumbent bike
that will make you stay at home exercise instead of going to the gym.
Bike features a easy to real LCD monitor that displays time,
distance, speed, calories burned and more!
