Need help on my stomach

Hey, im about 6' 260 and im pretty happy with my body. But i have one

problem. My stomach. I dont eat junk food at all, but i do drink diet soda. I l

ove to eat but will stop eating as much to lose my stomach. I will post some

pics soon i cant now im at college. But i do need help losing my stomach, and

thinning my face out. I think the reason why im worried is because i dont

play football anymore. So nothing is keeping me in shape. Any type of

workout that can help me? Thanks.
 
I've got a buddy that played D-1 college football. He was in super shape all through high school and even better shape in college ball. After he really messed up his shoulder and couldn't play, it really went downhill from there. He went from 230ish to 260 in about 4 months. The sad part was, he didn't even notice the change in his body! When he finally realized the sad shape he was in, he decided to get his body back. First off, he changed his diet. No more cheese burgers or eating entire pizzas. He cut out the junk in his diet. He replaced it with red meats, fish, grilled chicken, and stuff like that. He didn't cut out carbs, but ate a little less (the difference in eating a side of pasta and the entire buffet). He also really stepped up his water intake and gatorade. (My first thing I cut when deciding to get in shape was sodas. I think he pretty much did the same). He didn't do a HARDCORE, count every calorie, exactomundo kind of diet... he just was smart about what he ate and didn't fall into the temptation to eat and eat and eat. Exercise wise, he started up with gradual cardio type work. I know he jogs, rides stationary bikes, and stair stepper type exercises. He also went back into his old weight training routine like he did back in football. (He didn't life near as hard, obviously, but he did start lifting again) Anyways, a couple months later and he's at 220. Now he's training to run a marathon with me. (He's in the Clydesdale weight class :jump1:)

Thanks for your help. Yea I will try to do the same. I eat meat chicken and fish all day. I dont look 260 anywere but my stomach, it can get annoying. Good thing i have a girlfriend that prefers the bigger guy lol. I wanna lose this stomach!

Aha, sadly you can't choose where your body loses the fat from. If you get the chance, post up some pictures. Did you say you're not doing any type of exercise right now?

A good starting point is to obtain a approximation of your calories. Determine your Base Need of calories, and then your approximated calories with activities considered (Activity Need), and then between your approximated Base Need and your Activity Need, you operate the numeric slider in terms of an appropriate deficit to solicit potential tissue loss.

No not really. I get my only work out from working and walking around my college. Thats pretty much it lol. I do plan to start though. Ill prolly start jogging or using the bike at the gym in school.
