Hello everyone. I have been searching and reading all types of posts on this page and there are a lot of educated and motivated people here so I hope one of you guys can help. I am really unhappy with my current weight and overall look(that spare tire isn't going anywhere!!) I am destined to lose weight to get to my target goal of 150lbs. I am currently at roughly 190lbs I am 5'10 and 24 years old. I'm not going to lie I do eat fast food and I am trying to cut that out. I'm not sure what's my fat % but i'd like to know what type of regiment would be ok for me to get to my target and to lose weight. any help would be appreciated.

Hey Tyla! If you are looking for support you are in the right place for sure:] first of all I would recommend starting a diary in the weight loss diary section. I know it was easier for me when people payed attention to what I was doing- made me want to do it even more! :]

Loosing about 2lbs per week at most - although just changing your eating habits and excessing more may cause you to loose more weight at the start.

Lots of good information on the site:] Lots of support also!

Welcome to your weight loss journey and good luck :]

Thank you so much for your response. I was wondering If it would be ok to start a HIIT routine with my program for about 2-3 days a week? I want to do that and try and throw some weight lifting in there too. what do you think?

Hi Tyla! I love food, so when I read:
(politely snipped) I'm not going to lie I do eat fast food and I am trying to cut that out.(politely snipped)
I had to answer something! ;) Have you thought of making low-fat/healthier variations of your favorite fast food meals? I'm a sucker for burgers & fries, pizza, etc. And I noticed that feeling restricted - as in can't eat - has never worked for me. I've learned to make low-fat burgers with salad instead of fries, or oven baked fries helped, as well as making smaller servings (a handful of fries is treasured... or something!). Also, the fact that I eat these at home has made me more... careful: I noticed I was naughtier (and ate more) when eating out. I still eat naughty meals occasionally when out, but I try to do it sparingly and compensate the next day/meal. Also, I find that trying to order the most "natural" dishes helps (some of those things I so enjoyed... goodness knows what's really in it!).
I have a way to calculate bodyfat % that is quite approximative but useful (I've found). Also, I've noticed that if I weight myself once, then weight myself again and the scale has barely budged but my clothes are looser, that's a lean muscle gain for me... But then, I'm "approximate-girl" sometimes! If you want I'll try to post the calculation later (I just have to find it).

Hi Tyla,

First you need to set your goal. Lose weight for about two pounds per week. If not one pound per week is enough. This is the recommendation of almost every legitimate and respected dietician, nutritionist, exercise physiologist and personal trainer, as well as exercise organizations such as the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Dietetic Association.More info about about body fat and weight loss you can find at " weight-loss-expert-advice.com " It good info for Body fat and weight lose
