Need help getting started

I'm 16 and overweight, haven't weighed myself in a bit, but i would like to start working out and doing cardio to loose weight, i have tried alot of times before, but i loose motivation fast, honestly i would prefer to play a fun video game then go for a run, i finally got into a habit of going for a mile jog each day, but i got shin splints fast. Theres a YMCA i have a membership to within a 20 minute walk of me, if i were to walk there each day what should i do to loose weight, i want to loose it fast because i loose motivation when i don't see results right away, i'm not the most patient person in the world.

so could you explain to me exactly what cardio and weights i should do? Like what muscles what days or etc. And whats some tips for staying motivated

Thanks a bunch

loosing weight takes a long time. about 2-3LBS at a professional level. this change your trying to make is not a one time deal or stop thinking of it as "ill do this for a month and ill be good after that" this is a lifestyle change entirly, think " ill do this 3 times a week every week" this is only 1 hour 40min a day out of your life, thats IT then go play games watch tv whatever for the rest, just an hour 40min is no big deal right??

cardio: if you get bad shin splints do an eliptical machine or bike, not sure what that is ask the ppl at the club.
run hard for an hour : think time not distance.
workout: this is a copy of one im doing now
day#1 legs / calf :: squats 5x5, slider leg press 5x8, calf press 4x15, deadlifts 3x8
day#2 back / bis : pull ups 3x8, cable lat pull downs 5x5, rows 5x5, DB hyperextentions 3x8, E-Z bar preacher curles 3x8
day#3 chest / tris : DB bench 5x5, incline DB bench 5x5, flys 3x8, E-Z bar skull crushers 3x8
day#4off /forarm bar rolls, 6x10
day#5off
day#6 shoulder / abs : decline DB situps 5x15,
5x20 DB crunches, DB millitary press 5x5, front hammer press 5x5, single cable cross 3x8, shurgs 3x8
day#7off
