Need help/advice on weight! Thank you !

AI feel like I am getting a gut. I have been trying so hard to cut back on the bad foods I eat replacing them with healthy food. I try and run 3-5 times a week with skateboarding on top of that. This came out of nowhere and it seems to be getting worse over time. No matter what I eat or what I try to do. Any opinions on it with my weight. I weigh 159-164 pounds right now, depending the time of the day. Do I look like I am getting a gut!? Thanks everyone cheers!!!

Hey Matt, welcome to the forum!


I would suggest adding a full body strength routine 2-3 days per week. As you get older, your body will start to lose muscle mass if you don't do anything to maintain it. Your weight may not change, but your body composition will. Because of the decrease in resting metabolism with muslcle loss, fat basically takes the place of the lost muscle mass. I should clarify - muscle doesn't "turn into fat," but extra fat starts to accumulate with a decreased resting metabolism.
