Hi everyone.i've been reading a lot of posts, particularly newbies, and ive realized a lot of the people here are like me..trying to make that long journey to beauty,to health, to freedom..to stand out for the right reasons...balanced at the brink of a thousand medical problems..hormone imbalances, shrinking clothes, shattered self esteem.. I knw people have done wonders, but i think i need someone to make the trip with me.one on one...someone with just as much at stake..a desire as great.. A task as enormous.im 21 years old..i gained 80 pounds in the past year n a half..and am now 220..i would love to talk with someone who knws what i'm talking about.. Preferably someone who can email regularly..share their heart and soul and the incredible experience that rebuilding your mind and body is supposed to be.. You can email me at ayesha_farrukh@hotmail.com if you would like to make a team, form a bond,to help us both get through this.. looking forward to hearing from you.

why not just start yourself a diary and make yourself at home in the community rather than distancing yourself in emailland -

Agreed! I mean, it's not like we have to sign up with our real names...we can have anonymity while sharing.:cheers2:

I know, but somehow for me its not even about anonymity that much..forums like this are great and there's a great community feeling, and i do intend to post here too..but somehow i also want a one on one thing..kind of how some people need personal trainers? Just to know that someone is there specifically for u,with the same goals, and there's a healthy friendship that can help get things done.

you will develop relationships here and get that one -to one thing you're looking for -but that does require forum participation - it's going to be tough going when your first post is someone looking to not be an active participant... you'll get much more valuable info from varied sources if you do join in the community.

I agree - set up a diary.

If you visit one or two diaries you will see that we all build a number of relationships - and that helps us all to remain focused.

There are a number of people here who have put on weight through hormone imbalances. I am a PCOS lady myself.

I understand that at 220 pounds you view the journey as a daunting task - but many of us started there or possibly even quite a bit higher than that. Many of us will know exactly what you are talking about.

I am sure that starting a diary and putting messages in other people's diaries will bring you exactly what you are looking for.

Good luck with your project.
Take care
Best wishes
Margaret
