Need advice and support

Hi everyone!
Im new to this forum and ive seem how amazing you people are for getting to your goals ,for changing your body and mind youre so FANTASTIC and have helped me belive that i CAN ALSO DO THIS!
I put on 20 kg during pregnancy (gave birth 4 montha ago)...(20 kg is 40 pounds?)and im trying to loose weight .I enrolled myself in a gym and im eating right. No sweets , sodas , having breakfast corn flakes , not eating after 8 st night.
My workout is 40 minutes treadmill on a fast walk ,30 minutes st.bike , then i use the machines for legs arms ect for about 20-30 minutes...I would like to visit the gum more often (i go 3 times a week ) but cause of me baby time is difficult to have for myself.
I have lost in 1 month 4kg (3,5 kg actually)...its not FAT , its fluids a think...
DO YOU THINK I CAN make it with these changes.???
i have strech marks on my tummy from pregnancy and generally my tummy has become HORIBLE....I really need your support guys!and any kind of advice!

Are you keeping track of what you are eating and how much? Perhaps you are eating too many calories, or too few! Try keeping close tabs to see. Also, your workout sounds good.
The main thing is patience...do not expect to lose it all overnight! Sometimes it takes the scale a little while to register that we are eating well and working out. Keep doing what you are doing and you will see the results you want to see!

A good diet is 80% of the battle really watch what you are eating and log it. You can do this as a mom myself I know how hard it is to find time for yourself. If you have a significant other or family support see if they can watch your baby for an hour a day just for some you time to work out. It will keep you less stressed which for me was a trigger to over eating and you will feel good knowing you are doing something for your body every day to take care of it.

It takes time you did not gain the weight over night you will not loose it over night. Slow and steady wins the race here. You will get there as long as you don't give up! I know it can be frustrating as hell not seeing the scale move or seeing a difference right away but it will happen, I promise.

thanks for the reply!I just went on the scales...another kg down!!!94 today!
What suprises me is that yesterday i ate a relly good meal for dinner that included some cheese!!no way did i expect to be less sfter that!!!
Im sure im not eating MORE calories,,,im eating LESS...How can that be a problem>?
I have mycornflakes in the morning then i EAT at about 6 and at night i have a yogurt with some honey/My husband says i should eat more , but really im not hungry plus i forget about it cause of all the work around here.
So less calories can make the scales stay in the same weight?

Ok, first of all ... you need to manage your expectations. :) A healthy rate of loss is about 1% of your bodyweight per week. For you, if you currently weigh 94kg, then you should expect to lose about 1kg a week, or a little less. Anything else is too fast - it's not sustainable and when you stop "dieting", you'll probably gain it back.

Next ... you have to lose the mindset that what you eat last night will show up (or not show up) on the scale today. Your body doesn't process food and nutrients like that. What shows up on the scale today is a combination of yesterday, the day before, and they day before that. And even some of last week. Salt can make you retain water within a few hours ... that will make the scale bounce up. OTOH, eating junk might take 3 or 4 days to metabolise into fat. You have to take the long term view.

Third - and this is the most important thing: YOU MUST EAT FOOD. You cannot lose weight healthily on a bowl of cornflakes and a yogurt per day. First of all, that's an insane diet for a healthy adult. Second of all, if you continue to eat that way, you'll slow your metabolism to the point that you won't lose any more weight and in fact you could start gaining weight back again. And the minute you eat any real food, you'll pack on the pounds.

You MUST eat a healthy diet. For you, at least 1800 calories a day - protein, fruits and veg, complex carbs like whole grains and oats. Otherwise you're not losing weight - you're starving yourself. They're two different things and your body will suffer for the one.

agreed with everything kara said. you're eating way to little. also, for the record, corn flakes are not healthy. simple carbs and sugar is the bulk of what you're getting eating them. and yes, when you're starving, the body will try to slow itself down as much as possible to conserve fat, so it can actually hinder fat loss.

thank you all!
kara you are absolutly right i didnt think of it that way....definitly am i changing my eating plan.
Jynus i get the whole weat special K and i dont add sugar.I love them just cant live without!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so sad...its like i dint even see the weight coming...i was wondering When did this happen??Probably those nights and belive me there were MANY of them that o ate waffles and icecream just before oing to sleep....4 chesseburgers and one big mac....it goes on and on....
I dont know what snapped in my head but im not loosing any more time....From May 2nd im on a healthy eating and working out...i dont want to go strict dieting as other times cause i know it wont last and ill be eating again a lot.
Im just really cutting off all the bads....i m doing quite well i think

I m folllowing all your stories and think that it takes a lot of will power to achieve your goals...Congadulations to all of you!

Congratulations on your weight loss. I understand how frustrating it can get at times because we want to see quick results but slow and steady is better.Don't think about what could have been done just look ahead. I am in the same boat here but with a good attitude I am sure anything can be achieved ;).

How big are the files?

If you're using windows, then open the files, take a screen shot (on my keyboard I hold down function-prt sc), open MS Paint, paste, use the rectangular select to select what you want, then cut it (control-x). Then start a new MS Paint file and paste it. It should be a lower quality picture (under 100kb, which is the limit here) and be able to upload it.

To get multiple pictures in one file, do the same as above, but instead of pasting into Paint, paste into Word. Right click the image and set the text wrapping to "square". Change the size of the file as you want (generally shrinking works and increasing the size doesn't). Repeat this with multiple pictures- so if you want to add 4 pictures, do the same with all 4. Arrange them as you like, add writing if you want (I use Word Art, again, with square text wrapping), then take a screen shot. Go back to Paint, paste the screen shot, cut out the stuff you want, new paint document, paste, save.

I can definitely see a difference. There's less creases around your stomach in the first two sets of shots, which is definitely an improvement. And I don't know if it's the angle/ type of shot, but you look like you've lost a lot off your stomach. Well done! :D

now that i got them side by side i can see a bit of difference. On the second set on my legs...The first ones where taken 2 years ago when i made the thread.I wrote i was 95 kg, so it might as well been taken a month ago when i started dieting , cause my weight was 95 kg again!
Thanks Amy once again!!!:waving:

the ones in the pink undies are 96kg---212 pounds
the ones in bikini 88kg---194 pounds
