Need Advice

I am wondering if anyone has an idea about what is going wrong with my weightloss. I've managed to get down from 273 to 230 over the past four months and suddenly I stopped losing weight about a month ago now. I eat a low GI/GL diet a typical day is as follows.
06:00 Walk the dog a fast walking pace for 40-45 minutes
07:00 Breakfast: Bowl of Bran flakes with low-fat greek yoghurt and blueberries, Green Tea
09:30-10:00 either a lowfat yoghurt or large handful of mixed nuts and fruit and maybe an apple
12:00-12:30 a sandwich using 2 small slices of soya & lindseed bread with turkey and salad using a soya alternative to spread and lowfat cheese spread
and an orange of sorts or another apple
15:00 more fruit and nuts
17:00 between 1 and 2 hours in the gym depending on which training I do, I alternate one day will be cardio which is usually 30 minutes on the elliptical trainer followed by 20 minutes rower then 20 minutes on either treadmill or cycle. then the next day will be 3 circuits total body weight training 15 reps concentrating on resistance
19:00-20:00 evening meal typicaly chicken with salad and couscous or another new meal from a low GI/GL cookbook
20:30 another 30 minutes walking the dog.
I think it all sounds allright but the scales havent moved in nearly four weeks and the belt hasnt come in any yet. but I AM looking better in the mirror I still want to lose about another 20lbs and feel as if Ive hit the wall.
I guess Im just after releasing my frustration and would love to hear if anyone can recommend a change. Im worried in case Im not eating enough. I am about 183 and 230lbs and I starting getting dizzy when stretching off at end of workout.
Please help

I don't know how much help this is but 4 months ago I weighed 245 lbs and lost so much muscle while getting really soft.

I decided I would get drunk whenever I got hungry...to the point where I had to pass out. This would stop me from eating at night. I also kinda starved myself during the day. It was a desperate move. During the day I trained very hard. I lost 40 pounds and gained a lot of muscle.

Now I'm being more healthy. Sometimes it takes a drastic move to get to where you can lose the weight you want and then maintain a much healthier way.

Maybe this could help. Sounds crazy but it's true.

Never, never, EVER do this please!!

Start by finding out how many calories you are consuming. Like you said, it could be that you're not eatin enough thus hindering your progress or something as simple as you've plateaued and it's time for a small change in either your workouts, your diet or both.

Seems like you do a lot of cardio, maybe you can start to incorporate resistance training along with your cardio.

Good luck!

I dont think that I will go down the route of using alcohol or starving myself. I've used the link thats somewhere on this forum to check my calorie count per day and it says I'm between 1700 and 2000 which doesnt sound to low to me I am going to change my cardio though and go towards HIIT I will let you know how that goes and I think I need to up my protein. does any one recommend shakes and supplements to help me reach my targets. I tried Hydroxycut a five years ago and it helped me at the time however it messed with my head and I kept going paranoid and then so did ripped fuel. I've recently tried Thermobol UK in the last month and apart from making me pee alot did nothing towards weightloss or energy. I also used Betagen in the passed with Creatine but this was when I was fit at the time they gave me immense energy and strength and I had to force myself to leave the gym but I dont know if I can use them with weight loss. Also are exercise/ISOtonic drinks OK when youre working out when trying to lose weight? I currently only drink water when I work out and afterwards. I must have at least 3-4 litres a day I wonder if I am fat and not turning into a camel!

You need to get a solid diet and workout routine going. What you have going on right now is not optimal. It kinda of works...will get you so-so results, and will leave you mostly tired and lacking of needed energy. This is mostly due to your nutrition. You also do need lots of water for, however I would wonder if you electrolytes are out of balance. A lot going on here, take it one step at a time. really read all the stickies and then post for specific help.

your activities seem perfect; even i d o not understand what is happening...are you not eating too much? i think you need to take some supplements to help you. I have just startedto take a pill called Xenical, it helps in slimming and weight loss. you can try it too. till now, I haven’t seen any drastic change but I have noticed that my weight is decreasing day by day. Isn’t it great? The pills are capable of not absorbing or digesting certain fats. I don’t know much about the pill you need to read more about it first...it is preferable that you seek medical advice before taking the medicine.
