Need advice - Loose / saggy skin after weight loss

Hello guys. I've been on atkins for most of last year. Lost 20kg at a steady rate of 0.5kg to 1kg per week. After losing 20kg, the weight stopped going down. What should I do to keep it going down? I tried increasing and decreasing food intake but nothing seems to work. Pants ain't getting loose either.

Another one of my concern is that I noticed some ugly looking loose skin around my belly and its really not help motivating me to keep going. I'd rather stay at my current weight if losing weight will cause more of this ugly loose skin thing. Will my body fix this naturally or will I need some surgery to get rid of it? I've read some stuff about it like workout and specific food to eat, but I'd like opinions and insights from you guys.

What weight are you now and have you got any areas with a considerable fatty bulk? If you are looking trim enough now and have a healthy BMI for your size and shape, I wouldn't lose any more weight, mainly because of the loose skin issue and there's no need to get too thin. I definitely wouldn't recommend doing any more Atkins as being on this kind of exclusion diet is not conclusively unharmful to health. That's great you've managed to shift the weight though. I would suggest that you follow an exercise plan, maybe a workout video or got to the gym and concentrate on exercises such as stomach related crunches etc and squats, that kind of thing. That will help tone up and reduce the appearance of loose skin. I had a little bit of loose skin on my stomach too and exercising that area really helped. It doesn't make it go away but it makes a big difference.

All the best

I was 122kg and now im at 100kg. Never really measured my height, but I guess its about average height? I'm still all round fat and there isn't really any specific area with considerable fatty bulk.

Ok I see. In that case, I would suggest you should maybe just try a good old calorie reduced diet and increase exercise. There are so many types of diet out there you could try but personally, I can't recommend just reducing you energy intake enough. It's the simplest, most basic formula that definitely works. If you are a guy, you should aim for around 1800 cals per day and about 1400 if you are female. If you can increase your exercise levels every day and aim for some strenuous (even just 20 mins or so) about 3-4 times per week. With that, you will lose about 1kg per week. If you are average height and body shape, then you can just check your BMI for a healthy weight to give you a goal weight to aim for.

Like I said the exercise will really help tone up and disguise the loose skin a bit.

I actually do some workouts regularly. Usually around 30 mins on weekdays and rest on weekends. How slow a weight loss rate do I need to go to avoid loose skin? And how do I control the speed of the weight loss?
