Need advice from people with experience

Hello, I have just started working out. By working out i mean doing 20-40 minutes of cardio depending on how i feel that day and about 30-40 minutes lifting weights. I want to lose weight without losing any muscle mass. Should i keep lifting weights while trying to lose body fat? Or should i go to the gym and just do cardio?
 
You will inevitably lose some muscle mass when you lose weight. What are your stats? Height, age, gender, weight, body fat %

If you have a lot of fat to lose... then I would focus on fat loss. If you are average body fat % or pretty cut... then I would focus on adding lean muscle.

So it all depends on your ultimate goals. But I would choose one and follow through with that plan. Post more info and maybe we can help some more.
