Wow. This thread is epic in its futility.

Haha... touche! As effective as a monkey doing brain surgery with a chainsaw. ;)

JonCLyle, do what works man. You may want do so some HIIT.

Have you talked to any other nutritionists? Just to get a second opinion? It might be worth a shot.

Wow..wow.....wow.....slow your roll there, Steve. No need to come at me cussing. Thats not the right way to approach people.

Save the speech.

I'm not about to take lessons from someone on the net about etiquette.

First off, my post was directed towards the original poster, hence why I said "To the O.P. I did not say that YOU said anything, you were not mentioned in my post. Nothing in that post was directed towards anyone other than the O.P.

First off, you're enabling behavior that isn't conducive to his goals.

Helpful much?

Didn't think so.

I was simply stating my opinion that I feel it's safe for him to consume the stated amount of calories. You had your say, you felt it wasn't a good calories intake for him and thats all fair and fine, each to their own, live and let live. So it seems that because I did not agree with you, you try to start an argument with me. I never said that ANYONE in this thread stated that it was "unsafe", I stated that doctors and nutritionists had told me it was safe.

What I take issue with is your enablement of stupidity.

That is all.

And here I was thinking we were all grown up here.....silly me.

Wahhhh. Take your appeals to emotion and shove them where the sun don't shine. They don't erase the enabling.

Dude chill out no need to cuss. Noone said anything rude to you.

I'm chill.

Fuckity fuck fuck.

That doesn't make me a loose cannon. Stop appealing to emotion. One word sets off a shit storm of nothing related to the topic.

I just thought I would quote this so you could read it again. Dont be an ass to her about her opinions, noone was an ass to you about yours...

Wow.

You're able to comprehend the unimportant stuff and totally pass over the stuff that matters.

Good.

Anyways any thoughts on the actual workout I posted? I mean thats what Im here for. Dont get upset because I dont wanna talk about diet like you do, but Im not here for diets and it is MY topic.

No, this is a discussion on a public forum. You want to own a thread, open your own forum and talk to yourself. If you're looking for advice from experienced people though, I doubt you're going to find that on your forum.

Steve what is your problem man? Someone posted here about agreeing with me and you freak out because what they said agrees with what I said or was just somthing different that what you said.

Just calm down and quit being an ass. If you have any tips on my workout routine I would love to hear them. If not whatever just slow your role.

First off, you're enabling behavior that isn't conducive to his goals.

Didn't think so.

How do you know that him eating 1200 calories per day won't get him to his goal? You don't! It works for many people.

What I take issue with is your enablement of stupidity.

That is all.

I stated my opinion, to him, not to you......what don't you understand about that? So basically if anyone disagrees with you we are automatically attacked?
Like I said before, live and let live.

Steve what is your problem man? Someone posted here about agreeing with me and you freak out because what they said agrees with what I said or was just somthing different that what you said.

AGAIN

I am not freaking out.

I simply said fuck.

I didn't call anyone names.

I didn't attack anyone.

So again, leave the theatrics at home. I commented, too harshly for the edgy people involved obviously, directly to something I know to be wrong. Said poster was solely focusing on weight... nothing more nothing less.

In your particular case, her agreement with your methodology was of no help. Sure, it probably helped you feel good. Gave you reassurance. But what good is reassurance if it solidifies an idea in your head that isn't conducive to the attainment of your goals?

Just calm down and quit being an ass.

Funnily enough, I've received enough private messages from members here highlighting who the clear ass in this thread. Perception is a funny thing, isn't it?

If you have any tips on my workout routine I would love to hear them.

That would be neat, wouldn't it?

If not whatever just slow your role.

Yea...

At this point I'm just trolling this thread, is all. My role is slow. I am chill. I know you like to believe otherwise but that really isn't my problem... now is it?

Okay, just thought I would put in my 2 cents because I'm actually in the Navy. First off, congratulations on joining the best service there is (I'm biased, I know) and wanting to start boot camp off right. I haven't actually been to boot camp because I go to the Academy, but plebe summer isn't too far off and I have tons of friends who are prior enlisted, plus I come from a Navy family so i feel qualified in giving advice on the service.
You should be running 5-6 days a week, doing sprints certain days and then long runs other days to work on long and slow twitch muscles that will help with the 1.5 mile. 9 minutes is pretty ambitious and if you run that you will be way ahead of the pack. For a 20 yr old male the 1.5 only has to be done in 10-something. I'm a female so I don't know that well. For strength you should max your push ups and situps for 2 min and then do ladders. I do pushups by 5 up to 25 then back down for a total of 125 and situps by 5 up for 45 then down. I would really suggest weight training as that will help build muscle mass which will allow you to lose weight and keep it off more easily. And then you could up your caloric intake and not gain from it.
From the Navy aspect. During boot camp you will be eating about 3000 calories a day, 3 times a day. You will have no time so you will shovel it all in without regard to how much you're eating, only wishing to feel full. Other than those meal times you will be constantly on the move. It is possible to gain weight during boot camp, but unlikely. But more likely if you're slashing your calories so much before hand. You will not be able to develop muscle mass as well and not perform as well on the PFT. A guy your size needs about 2000 calories a day, at least. You should try that out for 2 weeks, because honestly two week really isn't that long to do any long term damage, and see if you gain or lose weight. You'll lose weight, but not as fast, but you can keep it off.
And finally, the height/weight. Height/weight standards are way more emphasized than body fat. What they do is they check your h/w and if you're outside that range than they check body fat percentage. So you definitely should concentrate on h/w instead.
Good luck with your goals and try to think more sensibly about diet and getting realistic goals. Try the Abs diet if you want some really good advice, a lot of people I know live by that.

Yes. My opinion is that if you can run 10 miles in a day while sprinting full speed for a large portion of it, then you should be able to do a real push up.

If you are really serious about the military then I would advise You visit Stew Smith's web site.

A) Where did you get me running 10 miles from? It says jogging 5 then hiit 2.5

B) I can do some real pushups, but I do them till I cant do anymore then I do girl pushups till I reach 250. But also your opinion is kind of weird consdiering running at all has nothing todo with how many pushups you can do..

C) Please share thoughts on the workout routine I posted above not links to whole other workouts

If I read this right, you need to lose 80 pounds in just over 2 months.

Thats a little less than a pound of loss a day.

A 280 pound man CAN NOT keep up a 1200 calorie diet long. You DEFINITELY can't exercise and do it. It doesn't matter how much exercise you do, you won't get any better. You won't build muscle or muscle endurance (what you really need) if you are starving yourself. You should NEVER go below 1400 calories for males. At your weight, you shouldn't go below 1800 -2000 a day.

Here's what you should do. talk to your recruiter, get it pushed back atleast 6 months (A year would be best). So you can take off that weight in a more healthy way. It would be healthy to take it off over a year. 6 months alteast you can do it and not harm your body too much.

You realize that if you DO somehow lose the 80 pounds by starving yourself and losing any muscle you have you will have lots of fleshy folds left over from the extremely quick weight loss. They will NEVER go away. You can get it to surgically removed to a point, but you are gonna end up with little bulbs of tied off flesh (called elephant ears). If you take it slowly, lose the weight over a year you can limit the amount of baggy flesh you have.

So if you decide to kill your body doing what you are doing, know that you will forever for life afterwards (till you regain the weight) look like a monstorous melted flesh person.

Stop being hostile to the people trying to help you and stop being stupid.

Good luck doing that and only eating 1200 calories per day.
Thats not hard, I just did it. Ive walked 10 on 1200. Just because you dont think its healthy doesnt mean its not. There are plenty of girls I know who eat this much. And it fills me up and IM still losing inches and weight, so why mess witha good thing. But any help on my workout routine is welcomed.

This is simply hilarious.

You don't know the difference between something being possible and something being healthy. Shit, you're actually comparing yourself to girls. In your delusional world 280 lb man = a regular female.

I sincerely do hope you make the service so they can kick your ass into shape. Not physically... but emotionally and psychologically. You are in some serious need.

And it fills me up and IM still losing inches and weight, so why mess witha good thing.

Who in this thread said you won't lose inches and weight. I mean, is your reading comprehension really this piss poor? I can't believe it is since you were 'smooth' enough to write "Slow your role fag" in my rep comments. I mean this speaks wonders for you. Pick your head out of your ass and listen for a second.

But any help on my workout routine is welcomed.

You've asked this now probably 20 times in your threads. You've been handed a ton of advice, yet you continue to ignore it all still searching for some answer that 'sounds' right in your screwed up mind. Why not stop?

Allyphoe (sp?) had it right... you are paying people to help you lose this weight magically. They know your personal situation better than anyone. Why not ask them? Why come here and act like a fool asking retarded questions to complete strangers? It doesn't make a whole heck of a lot of sense.

You reject every single piece of advice unless it's what you want to hear.

On that note, what you're doing is perfect. There isn't one modification needed. It's optimal for your goals and you are going to look AND feel great when this is over. Your performance will actually improve too.

Good job!
