Breakfast: 2 sausages w/ some kale
Lunch: Spinach soup w/ tuna (oddly tasty, very experimental, lol)
Dinner: Chicken salad w/ some cheese

I was going to just reheat the leftovers of soup, but my mother in law occupied the kitchen the entire evening with her guests, so I ended up going out to the gas station for a salad.

Ugh, getting the results of my exam tomorrow. Feel really tense and not in a good head-space, which is affecting my dieting. I get a little self-negative as a way of steering my thinking off my exam results. Like, better to focus on something I can control, right? Or so my head says, I know it's not healthy so I try to take a little extra care of myself, not letting my head complicate things. What happens will happen, and not taking proper care of my body will only worsen things. Your body is your temple, better treat it right.

Thank you :)

None in yet.
Did another weighing, I'm down to 72.6 kg.

No idea what to eat. My mother in law decided to dry fish in the kitchen. Rank, disgusting fish. So now the entire house stinks of fish, the smell of which makes me feel kinda ill and nauseous. I haven't gotten a chance at eating something in this house right now without throwing up. Figure I'll have to take a trip to the store and get something that I can hide in my office, lol, far away from the fishy stench :p

I passed my exam!

Feel so relieved right not, don't even know what leg to stand on. At the same time, it kinda caused me to "unclench the worry muscle" meaning a full on train of pushed back anxiety and emotion hit me in the face. So I am taking a self-care day. I allowed myself to get some chicken wings and a piece of cake, to celebrate and to show myself that it's OK to not have perfect days. We pick ourselves back up, and then do better tomorrow.

This is a wonderful thing though. That means I don't have to work through Christmas, I can actually just enjoy time with my family and help my mum out, who's got a chronic illness. I am feeling really good about that.

Breakfast & lunch: Chicken wings and cake!
They were nicely greasy, lol.

I'll do something light and sensible for dinner later, have some beef meat in the fridge that I can eat with some cale.

Good for you!!!!

Breakfast: A small piece of meat (I got kinda nauseous and lost my appetite) w/ some pea stew
Lunch: 2 eggs fried w/ tuna and the leftover peas
Dinner: Eh.. not gotten that far yet. Not sure what to have. Soup? Think I'll probably go with spinach soup again, it's easy to make and easy on the tummy.

My economy is a bit low after some unexpected bills, so I can't exactly go crazy with grocery shopping. In addition, I've had a really low appetite over the last few days. I just get really easily nauseous and have to kind of force myself to eat. Not sure what's up, it feels like I've eaten something that's just left my stomach a bit awry.

Going to a cruise tomorrow, with my girlfriend, we're celebrating our 5 year anniversary. Bought the trip earlier during the summer, and the meals are prepaid, so at least that won't add onto my already troublesome economy.

I think I need to start googling for food-ideas or something, in addition to the nausea and bad stomach, I am also feeling "bored" with a lot of my food alternatives. Steak used to be my favorite food, now I am really sick of it. It's just "meh". Veggies are fine to snack on, but they don't really fulfill me either. It's tricky to put together healthy and yummy meals when I am feeling this uninspired and queasy. But we'll see.

I bought almond flour and fiber husk, and making pancakes :D

Yesterday was fully unhealthy, as girlfriend and I was celebrating our five year anniversary.
But starting over fresh today :)

We'll see how my first attempt at meaking healthy low-carb pancakes go! :D

So, I calculated the pancakes to be about 700 kalories alltogether, for four pancakes, hence I decided to only eat two of them now, and save the other two for later. I put a tiny bit of butter and some sweetener on the pancakes, and had that for dinner. Aka about 350 kalories worth of pancakes, with very little carbs in. I used this recipe.
http://maxminus.blogg.no/1478618686_lavkarbo_pannekaker__.html

For breakfast I had 4 thin slices of bacon and one egg.

For evening food later I'll have the last two pancakes with some veggies and cream in.

Looks good! How many carbs are in each pancake? Funnily enough I ended up making protein pancakes over the weekend. I found mine a little dry so good to see other recipes.

Not certain on a dime, but I calculated about 10 -12 grams carbs in this recipe as a whole for 4 pancakes, which should make each have about 3 or so carbs. That's though with having nothing on but a lick of butter and sweetener. Also, most of the carbs came from the cream and the sour cream, I'd guess those could be cut a bit if one wants less carbs on the whole. The result was fantastic! Firm, moist and really yummy. And they can be eaten warm, like pancakes, or stored in the fridge and used as wraps for meat and veggies, or ham and cheese.

And thanks, Cate :)

Went a bit highwire today. Ate cale & broccoli mix for breakfast and lunch, then proceeded to throw down a plate of bacon w/cheese as dinner. It was a whole pack, meaning about four or five larger pieces of bacon w/ some seriously fatty cheese on it. And some broccoli on the side. That was probably not very smart. Better to eat heavier early in the day, and go on the light stuff later in the day, means you eat less for dinner as of a general. I've not had any evening food yet, but I'll do some low-fat yogurt or something to compensate for the rather heavy dinner.

Sorry for my absence, had a period of intense project work. Kept up my dieting though it's been a bit touch and go here and there, lol.
I'm at approx 70 kg now. It kinda cycles up and down around the 70.5 mark.

Hit a sort of plateau, it seems, because that's the weight I've been stuck at for 2 weeks now.

Generally my meal plan has included: 2 eggs, some veggies and a cup of coffee (with a tiny splash of low fat milk) for breakfast, a chicken breast w/ veggies or soup w/ extra veggies and meat for lunch, and the opposite of what I had for lunch for dinner. With some small variations here and there on what types of meat/veggies. I've tried to eat well, and I've generally not been hungry at all, so I believe I am getting enough food in. I've not been great in the exercise department, only gone once or twice a week to the gym for strength training, but gotten some walks in a few times a week in addition to running around places and fixing stuff.

But yeah, hit a stop now. Not sure if it's because I eat too little, or too much, lol, so I'll try to put some effort in to monitor my eating a little more closely over the next few weeks. I'm down to the last few kg's, so according to what I've read it's natural that any further weight loss would go slower than the initial bunch of weight I lost. I just don't like the full stop type of feeling. Slow is fine, not at all isn't. Particularly when we're coming up on Christmas.

Hope everyone are doing well.

Gone down to approx 69 now. It tips up and down between 69 and 69.5, but that's still lower than it was so I like it. Funny, I haven't weighed 60 or something in years, lol. Since I was in my early 20's. I like it, but I definitely see that I could stand to lose another 5 kg or so. There's still a bit of excess fat around the sides, belly and upper thighs that I could do without. So I'll keep the work going until I'm at 65 kg, and then see about getting that fat percentage checked out.

I had a serious cookie episode this weekend though, lol. My brother fed me Christmas cookies. Ever had a high content of sugar after weeks (months if you don't count that half a piece of cake I had a solid while back) of deprivation? I swear, I haven't felt that high in a long, long time. I ate half a box of Christmas cookies in less than 20 minutes, and was bouncing off the walls for hours afterwards. It's actually a miracle that weekend didn't end up tipping the scale for an up-turn; how I've lost half a kg over the last week rather than gained is beyond me :p But by the gods, those cookies were good. You could have slapped me silly, and I'd still only have eyes for those cookies.
Christmas is going to be a nightmare :D

Nah, I am not too worried. I am not going home for Christmas until the 23rd. And we usually finish all the good food by the 26th. Meaning at most it'll be a three day break from diet; and then I'll get back to it again, spending the next few weeks working off what I gain those three days. And until then, I'll be super-good and earn my right to eat a few Christmas cookies! It's sad, but that seems to be my best reward. I can go for a month on the strictest schedule, if I know the future holds a cookie for me :D

Besides, I plan to make healthy sugar free flour free Serina cookies, so that should I get the munchies I'll be munching on something slightly healthier (and less addictive) than those (crack-) cookies I had this weekend. Might not have contained drugs, but with that amount of white sugar it might as well have! Sugar is the devil, I tell you :D I'll make healthy cookies for Christmas and make sure we got some fruits and veggies in the house. Besides, half the carbs I'd usually intake are carbs I can do well without, like potato-carbs (don't need em!). At the worst, there'll be that some of the cookies I eat have sugar in it. I can live with that! Besides, it's Christmas, and I am already bumming my mum down by not eating anything she puts in front of me on the regular. I can be chill about things for a few days during Christmas, and do so guilt-freely. I can cause I say I can.

Oh, my food intake.

Today:
- A sausage in paper on the go for breakfast + coffee (I overslept like crazy, hence the limited on the go breakfast)
- 2 slices of fried ham (about 300 grams) + cut and fried zucchini for lunch/dinner
- 1 piece of steak (about 150 grams) and some fresh veggies for evening food.

Also, I think I might be in-taking too much fake sugar; I've heard it can mess with your insulin levels, so I am cutting down on that as well. Only have it in coffee, and then I have now halved it compared to how much I used to take. I am a bit worried though, generally, because I keep reading weight loss articles, and they're all nagging about how you always eat more than you think you eat, unless you measure it down to the calories. I really don't want to do that :( At the same time, people here have been telling me I eat too little, so I am a bit torn between "you always eat more than you think" and "you need to eat more!"

It's a head-ache. I am considering if maybe I do need to start getting even more obsessive about measuring and counting my food-calories :/
Eh, I'll think about it.
