Hey everyone, first time poster here
and I'm looking for some advice. I have been having a hard time losing weight (6'2", 290lbs, 25 y/o Male). I do swimming, thats just my thing, and it is the only exercise i seem to be able to stick with (bad for weight loss, but better than nothing). I swim 1 kilometer, 3 times a week and I have not moved a pound away from where I started over a year ago. I realized that I started eating more when swimming, so I started adding extra protein to my diet to try to bulk up (since losing wasn't working). Now I'm taking about 5 servings of a day as meal replacements, but only consuming maybe 1200 - 1800 calories a day from normal food (down from about 3000). I have still noticed no change in weight, but I do feel as though my muscle mass has increased (which is a good sign), waist size has not decreased though. Is this stuff putting me on the fast track to failure? I know there's lots of sugar, but its all from fruit if that matters. Thanks for reading!
