Hey, I'm a young adult in Vancouver embarking (more like re-embarking... long story, haha!) on a weight loss and maintenance plan for health reasons (insulin resistant, so risk of diabetes, and PCOS... somehow weight regulation helps to normalize the cycle) as well as to feel more at ease with my body. The first time I took on this lifestyle change I started off well, but eventually I slouched off and within a month or so I was back to my usual ways. I can't let this happen again!!! I'm sick of feeling the fat on my body and of feeling lethargic.

The easier part is the nutrition, the harder part is the exercise (for me, anyway). And I have no buddy to kick me if I get lazy :( But oh well. It'll have to do! I hope I can get up early-ish tomorrow and do a brisk walk.

So anyway, I've got 25 kilos to go and I'm giving myself til December to get through half of that (at least!)... Last time I started off losing 1kg a week, but this time the exercise component will be a little more aggressive, so 2kg a week should be feasible. Do you think that's a reasonable time? I hope this board can help, at least a little bit, in keeping me motivated.

Thanks for hanging around to read my long schpiel!!
