my typical diet and excercise regime - comments/complaints welcomed

Hello,

I have been running and doing excercises now for a year but only as of this year did i really put effort in my diet as well as my excercise:

22 years old
male
5'11
215 lbs
Bodyfat - unknown

I am looking to lose around 20-30 pounds and tone my body from the loss of fat, at the moment i have a steady diet (below)

Meal 1 - 12:30 PM
84g (3oz) of cooked chicken on a stove top using Crisco fat free cooking spray with 2 low fat and low carb tortillas with a hint of cheese
1 little cup of yoplait yogurt
1 Nature Valley Granola Bar Packet (2 bars)

Meal 2 - 5:00 PM (after coming back from college)
1-2 bowls of Cherrios w/ 2% milk

Meal 3 - 9:00 PM
84g (3oz) of cooked chicken on a stove top using Crisco fat free cooking spray with 2 low fat and low carb tortillas with a hint of cheese
1 little cup of yoplait yogurt
1 Nature Valley Granola Bar Packet (2 bars)

maybe Meal 4 - 1:00 AM
1-2 bowls of Cherrios w/ 2% milk (depending on how hungry I am)

In the mornings when i wake up around 11:30am, I go out stretch for 2-3 minutes and dish out 30 pushups and I am through with my warm up phase with my heart beating a bit faster - and i go run 1-2 miles depending on how much time i have left. THe following is my workout schedule:

Monday
-30 pushups
-run at least 1 mile
-30 more pushups

Tuesday
-Rest

Wednesday
-30 pushups
-run at least 1 mile
-30 more pushups

Thursday
-Rest

Friday
-30 pushups
-run at least 1 mile
-30 more pushups

I know the meals aren't much but i really dont have time since i go to school and all but any changes to my excercise or diet is more then welcome espically in the weight training part, i am admanantly against gyms and hate going there i have a set of 15 pound dumb bells that i use for curls and what not once in a while - thanks again for reading

Not that im an expert but the whole plan is very poor. If your determined to lose weight etc... then your gonna have to get up earlier and join the gym, when everyone starts their plan of losing weight, none of them particularly want/like to go to the gym but it has to be done and soon you will start to enjoy it. Im a student also so i know the crazy night life but i still wake up at 8:30am, anyway

The pressups are only working certain muscles, you need a more all rounded excercise routine and the diet!!!!! WHere are the vitamins from fruit and veg!? Go to:

sign up, its free! and read the Get into Shape the Proven way, absolutely awesome read, to me its the bible! Sure some will disagree. I havent really answered your questions but just read that site and you will burn off that 20lbs in no time (if you follow it!)

Use your college gym, should be free. It doesnt matter if you like it or not. Your 30 pushups a day arent gonna do much. I work full time and go to school fulltime, not to mention I have a 1 month old son. I go to the gym twice a week right now. I dont get up to wake up at 11 everyday. If you really want to lose weight and all that, reevaluate your lifestyle.

once again...not that I am an expert but overall this plan is poor. You are going to hit a plateau very quickly. You need to eat a breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. I recommend my H2O diet. (Hydrate to obliterate) Drink one gallon of water each day, and eat only three meals and one snack per day. Totalling 2000 calories max. This will get you the results that you desire

Give me a freakin' break! You are right, you are NOT an expert. Your "diet" is not even a diet. That is a sucky nutritional routine for anyone trying to put on some lean muscle.

Just so you don't feel like I'm picking on you, Masher's advice was almost as lame.
