Do any of you find that you just hate drinking a ton of water everyday? I am that way i like drinking things with flavor and it was really hard to get myself away from drinking diet coke all the time. I actually think there were a lot of day i drank zero water or maybe just one glass. Anyways if anyone is like me I figured I'd share my solution to this problem with you. I bought crystal light packets that you pour into you bottled water. I didnt know if I'd like them but they taste soooo good. They make so many flavors and have ones with added vitamins and minerals. there are little to no calories in them (i think like 2.5 calories per serving). The best part is they are portable and easy. I find that I am drinking a much greater quantity of water now. Try them they're yummy!

I didn't like to drink water before, but when I started working out a lot if was the only thing that would quench my thirst, so I drank it more frequently. Now, out of habit, I have a glass or bottle of water with me at all times, no matter where I'm at. I rarely drink anything else, except sometimes at dinner I drink a Lipton Diet Green Tea (which I think tastes even better than the regular green tea). I guess I could consider it a "treat."

I do have some of those Crystal Light packets though. I like the lemonade ones the best, although my Mom drinks raspberry, and my brother drinks iced tea flavored ones (not sure if those iced tea ones are Crystal Light). I saw at the store the other day they have ones from Propel and Kool-Aid (not good for you) too. If I'm really craving lemonade from Auntie Ann's (the pretzel place), I mix a lemonade one with my water. I don't even wanna know how many calories would be in the Auntie Ann's one...enough to make me go over my daily limit! Ha

Those little packets were a good idea...wish I would've thought of that. :)

I'm addicted to diet soda, I get a very painful headache if I stop drinking it.
I don't really see it as bad, at least from a weight loss perspective. All the sources I've read don't give a direct link between drinking diet soda and weight gain. They only say it causes a psychological increase in appetite.

I do, especially in the winter when I'm mostly cold. There's some days where I can drink 2+ litres a day and still want more, then there's some where I think to myself "holy crap, I've only had half a bottle of water today."

I decided to start drinking more water and less soda :) It's not good for my body that I only drink soda. And water is better for weight loss.

I'm in the same shoes as you are, I can't drink a ton of water everyday, another thing you cab do is have a water bottle with you most of the time and just take small sips once in a while and you will see that you can drink lots of water in no time.

Drinking plain water actually makes me sick. I have tried and tried, and it just comes right back up. I know it must be psychological, but I just can't figure it out. At the moment I use pure lemon juice in my water, to give it a bit of flavour, and drink that. It works okay, but does get boring quickly.

I wish we had those crystal lite things over here in the UK, but I have yet to find them. If anybody lives over here and can direct me to them, I'd be more than grateful!!

Ordering them online in bulk may not be a bad idea. I live in US , best i could do.

I have a hard time getting in 5 cups of water a day. It's not that I don't like water ...I've just never been a fan of drinking anything at all. Before dieting I'd have 1-3 cups of juice water or tea a day. I haven't drank soda in 2 years so it's not what I'm drinking that's the problem ...I'm just not a big drinker.

If you need flavor water to drink it, try the Vitamin10 water (not the regular, tons of sugar ...V10 uses Stevia, a natural sugar replacement) or Owater, that crystal light has Phenylalnine (aspartame) in it.

Does your area have really hard water? A brita filter will improve the taste. I can't stand the taste of the water without running it through a brita filter (or any kind of filter would work I'm sure.)

When I lived with my parents, the water was fine from the spout. I guess its just the area. My Aunt's water taste like you are drinking from a puddle (in rural PA up by Hershey).

Water is water. I think its the greatest thing when I'm thirsty. I used to drink soda and ice tea exclusively a few years back. When I switched to water because of my diet, I was easily able to stop drinking soda.

I did just start an addiction to Monster Khaos energy drinks (140 calories for a can.) BUT I consider it to help curve my appetite so the calories are justified (in my head.) I limit myself to one a day. Still too much I guess.

Thanks for the link! :)

And what do you know? I just did a bit of searching around, and this is what I found.....

I used to hate drinking water until I discovered a little secret that help with losing inches as well as weight.

Add 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to hot or tepid water and a teaspoon of honey if you want a sweeter taste. Apple cider vinegar sounds as it it's going to taste terrible but it's actually quite nice. When you drink it think of how healthy it is making you. It's a great appetite supressant as well. Try it at least 3 times a day, more if you can.
