My story of why i became over weight !!

Sounds like you have been through a lot. My little sister had a similar experience from age 15 to about 22. Both of her former "men" are now dead, having died of overdoses. She first overcame the drug addiction. She then convinced herself she could still drink. She eventually realized what the rest of us already knew, she absolutely could not drink. One weekend night a cab driver pulled up to my parents house at 2am begging my parents to get her out of his cab. That was the last time alcohol has touched her lips. She has been sober for a little over 5 years. She is now married, has two kids and is enjoying a much healthier and safer life style.

I'm sorry I didn't answer your questions. I pray God sends you the helpers you need to live a life of real happiness. Not the kind of happiness the popular crowd gives you but rather the kind found from living a life dedicated to constantly improving yourself in ALL areas.

Heya there you have gone through so much in so little time but I'm glad you have managed to realise that it wasn't good and that you are here to make a lifestyle change and I wish you the best of luck! I am new here so I cant really offer you any answers. My uncle who is about 46 years old has just recently given up heroin (so many of his "friends" were disappearing) and his heavy drinking and is now trying to lose the weight he gained through depression. If he discovers anything that might help with your struggles I'll be sure to let you know. Just know that we are here to support you and there ARE people out there that have experienced the same things, given time they'll get round to seeing your post and giving you some answers. :) The before and after forum really inspires me! :)

boy, can I relate!

being an emotional eater isn't easy. you have to break the cycle from the inside, it begins with your mind. you can try to control your food intake but if you don't feel right and find a balance it will hardly work.
It seems like you are on the right path: now that you are off drugs and being social again. that helps a lot! but it can backfire sometimes.

when I first lost 10kg I didn't notice I was losing them. I was just doing exercise three times a week and eating moderately, but nothing too extreme. I believe it had to do with starting college and changing cities. I noticed it on the clothes rather than on my body.

I unfortunately gained it all back after a couple of years and I am working hard on losing them again.

I think I lost them in about 3 months.

I felt good when I noticed it on the clothes and people told me I was looking smaller. but I didn't see the results I wanted, pfff now I wished I was back at that weight and half way through! but oh well.

good luck on your journey
we are here to help you!
