Hello everyone! My name is Chris. Last winter I broke my femur and had to have surgery and was inable to walk for 2.5 months. Being a young adult I didn't think it thorugh and ate like absolute crap. I was up to 260lbs on Febuary 3rd when I began to walk again. That day I told myself it was time for a change. I began lifting weights as well as performing cardio and changing my eating style. Fast forward 5 months to today, and I am currently 215lbs. I have successfully lost 45lbs and counting.
When I began I could barely ride a bike for 5 minutes(both because I was out of shape and rehabing from not walking for 2.5 months). I slowly progressed from riding a bike to an eliptical machine, and now I run 2-4 miles a day!
Changing my eating habits may have played the biggest role in all of this. The normal me would wolf down bowls of ice cream a night, along with 4-5 20.oz bottles of mountain dew a day and combine that all with fast food twice a day and it was a very unhealthy combination.
My ultimate goal is to get down to a very very sold 180-185 and I see nothing stopping me from getting there!!
Now that I am in shape and getting physically fit I will also be enlisting in our military next month
Just thought I would share my story!
