My Paradox! Advice Please

well, im 20 years old, 5.11 and now weight 180, my goals are to shred pretty much all the unnessory fat i have, and build muscle... the only problem is, im finding myself trying to do both at the same time, and im not having to much fun, my question is... should i just hammer the cardio (as im close-ish to my BMI) get that fat off, then do my weights once i feel my bodyfat is low enough?

personally, I hate cutting (loosing fat) I find it a lot of effort. The eating the running, I find it all very hard work.

So... I do it very quickly. I can strip off 28lbs in 2months, by sticking to a strict diet and strict exercise program.

Stick to your weights tho, keep a muscle building program for your weights, That way your working your muscles and burning more fuel. But you can try doing supersets and trisets if you want. Remember that your not gonna build muscle, but you dont wanna loose any ether.

Then I make sure that I do 20mins HIIT every day, If im not working then 2 times a day.

what are supersets and trisets? would you reckomd i do 20 mins HIIT everyday then, aswell as carrying on with my weights, also, isnt it harder to strip weight when you dont have as much to lose

Hell yeah, It very very hard to strip weight when there is not much to lose.
I dont know your fitness level, but there is no harm for anybody to do 20mins HIIT every day, it just depends how hard you push yourself.
Do you fully understand HIIT?

Yeah keep your weight up the same as normal.
Its mostly about the diet. you gotta create a calorie deficiency. Some people do this by not eating, but thats dagerous. You should do it by lifting weights so that the food you eat is used to heal the muscles and is not stored as fat. Also buy getting fitter and fitter, you are increasing your potential to burn more and more calories as you will be able to run faster for longer.

Sorry a superset is where you do two diffrent exercises one after the other with no break. A triset is three in a row.

yea, today i did 4.5km in 20mins on the runnin machine, then did rowing for 2000 metres in 8mins, id say thats a good cardio session?

High Intensity Interval Training.

Does exactly what it says on the tin.

You do short intervals of 1-2mins at very high intensity followed by 1-2mins of low intensity.

The idea being that you make you heart get up to its top range and keep it there for 1min, then you slow right down to let your heart rate slow again.

If you compare it to weight lifting its like this...
running for 1hour at a steady pace is like holding a barbell up in the air for 5mins, Its tough, but its not doing you any good.
HIIT is like pressing a weight up and down so your muscles go through the diffrent phases of lifting.

Running is my example here, this a a typical HIIT plan.
5mins warm up, over 2mins increase the speed till your out of breath. Then you keep changing between fast and slow for 1-2mins each.
you should try to keep this up for 20mns then have a 5min cool down.

If you are new to fitness you may like to try jogging for 4mins, then walking for 3mins, and slowly build up in speed.

yup, HITT is exactly what i do.... how else would i run 4.5km in 20 mins ha! i sure in hell didnt sprint it all! ha very usefull, iv just started doin that the past few cardio session... and my body looks alittle trimmer, definatly a good fat trimmer.... i was doin 45 min sessions of cardio.... which, i realise now, prob wasnt doin much good on the fat front

Did you read what he wrote mate? With out meaning to be funny yours is not HIIT, yours is hi intensity but doesn't include intervals
