My mother bought me "Life, the Truth, and Being Free" a book by Steve Maraboli.

In there I read a piece called "Get off the Scale!" and it is now on my fridge, on my mirror and by my scale. I thought I'd share with all of you. We're all in this together.

What a nice piece. It's true that too many people are preoccupied with their weight, or how they look, that they fail to notice that they are already perfect just the way they are. It's okay for us to want to better ourselves, and make ourselves look more attractive, but we all need to remember that anything we do is just an improvement. An improvement to something that is already fine just the way it is ;) I'm glad you are applying this to your life! Too many people are preoccupied with trying to satisfy other people's version of beauty that they fail to notice their own beauty

You are right. I agree with your opinion.

Great advice! Too often we are [often unconsciously], seeking others' approval. We like to be liked, and so we conform. Maybe we conform to a stereotype. Just by beginning any change process is good. Change can take time, and as Stephen Covey advocates in his & Habits for Highly Effective people: 'Begin with then end in mind.' Each small step you take is a step towards closing the gap from where you are to where you want to be.
