I originally posted this in my diary but thought I'd post it here too.
So I have been feeling really great and confident lately. I feel accomplished and hopeful and in control. I'M PROUD OF MYSELF. It's always been kinda hard just to say that but no more..i deserve to say that or write that.
Anyway, I wanted make a list of positive things that have occured as a result of finally taking care of myself for the right reasons (besides the ones i've already listed above
).
- sleeping through the night without knee pain or back pain waking me
- not taking pain meds or sleeping meds everyday
- can walk for long period of time with no knee pain
- can wear heels again
- no more tight pants cutting at my belly
- clear skin
- tons of energy
- stronger (physically and mentally)
- decreased depression (except during PMS days but even that has lowered)
- I got my sex drive back!
- feel sexier
- can jog for the first time in years!!! (i was able to jog last sat in my kickboxing class..awesome!)
- increased confidence
- extreme decrease in social anxiety (this was a huge problem for me and it seems to have practically disappeared. I almost went to meds for this)
- more focused
- I'm actually setting goals now! (career, relationships, etc.)
- more loving
- friendlier
- happier with myself and in general
- fitter
I'm sure there is more but for now this is my list of positives from my new healthy lifestyle. And one more thing...3 months ago I never thought I'd feel this way again or at least i never thought i'd have the will to feel this way again. I think for me it took my weight to balloon to an all time high (was at 230 in May) to hit bottom, for that i am grateful because now I will appreciate myself and my accomplishments even more.
For anyone having a hard time starting or for anyone is general remember that you are worth all the hard work and effort that it takes to get to your goal.
