My Journey To A Butterfly - Journal

It's only 10 am and I have already finished my first 24 oz of water. I'm trying so hard to drink more water but I'm a soda girl. I crave Diet Dr Pepper. I wish they didn't have a vending machine 5 feet away.

I pushed myself at my workout last night. I walked a mile and switched between 3.0 and 3.5 miles an hour. I also biked most of my 5 miles at a higher level than I've been at. I sure could feel the burn!

Today I am hoping to match what I did last night. Maybe even bike a few more miles.

Just gotta keep going!

Good start.

Hey Butterfly.

Good work wtih the miles!! Keep it up.
Just wanted to ask a few questions too:

Are you aiming for some weight or are just keeping it in miles (think thats a great way too, might borrow that idea)

Are you planning to other things besides workouts? Like changing you eating habits?
The waterthing is really good thing, and eventhough you might crave it now, you'll soon loose the taste for it. And you can really feel it on you body.

Well, maybe I'l get back to you later with more, just wanted to say hi and welcome

Welcome to your diary butterfly! Good job on pushing yourself to go further each day. Great job. Keep up the good work!

Mahatt,
Thanks for the response! :)

I am worried that if I go by weight, I'll be discouraged if I don't drop like 50 lbs overnight. lol So right now I'm starting with mileage goals. I also am changing my eating habits. I've been "eating better" for the past year so I'm hoping to take it up a notch.

If you're interested in the mileage thing - maybe we can make a goal together too!

Great job Butterfly. Just walk past that vending machine no matter what it says to you. ;) And don't look back. You are doing an awesome job biking. Keep it up.:D

Thanks guys!

I've drank 3 bottles of water... it's going to take some time to get used to drinkin' so much!

I'm off to work out in half an hour! :)

Have a great workout! And think of all the money you'll save not buying soda from those rip-off machines!

1.25 a bottle...that's $6.10 a week or $24.40 a month OR! $292.80 a year. Save the money in a jar and go clothes shopping! Or that's a plane ticket to Disneyworld and back!

Wow, that's a great way to look at it!!

I got 6 miles done today!

I walked 1 mile on the treadmill - going between 3.0 and 4.0 miles an hour. I even ran a little!!

Then I biked 5 miles ON THE 2ND LEVEL!

I'm eating my healthy dinner and I feel amazing. :) Another day of success!

** Now I just need to learn how to change my ticker. :)

Keep up the good work. I kinda did the same thing as you, only I'm running, and I too felt better and better as I went on. It makes you much more energized and ready to face the world! Have fun filling that jar of money saved from the soda's! I personally would suggest a spa treat for yourself with the money saved!;)

What i do is click on my ticker, then re-enter the info. Usually when I click on mine, it pops up to the page where all you have to do is change one number, then poof, you click enter, and get a new url. But that's just me. There might be an easier way, but that's what I do.

I do it the same way as xorie - click on my ticker, it takes me to the page where I last entered my weight info, make the changes then update.

C&P from the bbCode into the edit signature section and bam - done :)

I am feeling GREAT this morning. I'm wearing a sweater that always felt really tight in the shoulders and it's fiting well on me! :)

I also noticed my arms are getting slimmer!

I'm going to try and get 8 miles in today - so I can reach 100 miles! Whew! That's a long way to go for a lazy person like me!! ;)
