My Journey - Part 1b

A little bit about me. I am probably a bit different than a few of you but we all share the same goal and that is why I am here.

My name is Trevor I am a 19 year old (soon to be 20 in june). Professional Poker Player. It is as not as cool as it sounds. It has led me to become fairly sedentary in my lifestyle as I play 99% of my games online against virtual opponents.

Part 1a started in late January where I was at the peak of my weight. I knew I hit the worst of it I was the biggest I ever was I didn't weigh myself then but I would imagine 350-360 (i am not 100% sure).

My family has an extensive list of diseases that comes along with obesity so I kicked some of the worst of my habits, during those months I completely cut out all of my regular coke/pepsi and only drink diet when I do need a carbonated beverage. Portion control and looking into better eating habits. My eating habits won't be perfect but they will be a lot better. I will track all of the foot I eat in a day at the end of the day before I go to sleep, I will also track the amount of exercise as well.

Diet wise I will try to eat low-carbs, and just eat "clean" for the most part.

So I have a pretty unique job. It allows me to take up whenever I want, do what ever I want it is pretty much one of the best things ever </brag> It does have some downsides that you sit for a long time at your computer, no exercise and also terrible eating habits.

Well, I am going to kick those habits in the next 9 weeks. This is My Journey - Part 1b (June 1st - August 3rd) My "goal" is to lose 30 pounds. I don't know my starting weight yet I am going to go get a scale tomorrow. I am ready for this guys. Its a long time coming.

Well I thought it would be approiate to update before the big day the big plunge the day where my life will start to change forever. This is a lifestyle change, not a fad.

I went to walmart and picked up a scale. I spent $60 on it :doh:, it better tell me im pretty after ;) (joking)

I went to the grocery store with my parents and they know I am really giving it my all and they support me 100% which is great and I know I can expect some compliments throughout the way.

So I will weighin tomorrow at noon and I will update before I go to bed my calorie intake and my exercise regiment for that day.

I hope you all have a great weekend.

Poker has some very very good positives but also a ton of negatives as well. One of the best things is I am my own boss, I conduct myself like a business. I love setting my own schedule it is fantastic!

Haha my boyfriend lost 25 quid on online poker a while back so I've banned him from doing it again just in case he loses more :p

Is it bad when I say, if it wasn't for your BF I wouldn't have a job hehe.

Well today was the last day of the old me. I weighed in and man was it scary.

I have been out of touch with my weight for years now and knew when I was ~250 knew when I was ~300. Well I thought I was still ~300 LOL boy I was wrong. I weighed in right around 354. Which was +20 pounds than I thought it was. Oh well you have to start some where right :)

I weighed myself tonight to check the scale I will start my spreadsheet and my log which will be my "official weight" tomorrow when I wake up. I am choosing Sundays after I wake up before I eat will be my weigh-in day.

The journey starts now. It is a never ending story I wrote the prologue (1a) now I am writing Chapter 1.

Tomorrow I will update when I wakeup for my official weight and then I will go about my day and return with my exercise and calorie intake for the day. Maybe even "before" pics. hehe.

Starting Weight: 350.9

I will take some measurements later on I was so excited I tossed and turned forever in my bed and finally said lets get this day started at 6am! (I normally go to bed at 6am!!!!!) ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh change is good.

Going for a walk shortly and going to go to work against some euros :).

Well day one is down. A lifetime ahead :).

As I posted earlier I was just way too excited to sleep and went for a walk. I walked 2.2 miles in under 50 minutes and took probably ~10 minutes in breaks. I maxed along one walking trail and it felt great. It was foggy and the mist was keeping me cool. I didn't really know where I was gonna go when I left my house so I just started walking and I could see the walking bridge barely through the fog. I said I am going to take my first challenge and walk this. I didn't know how far it was at the time and I keep on truckin'. I made it to the other end and stopped and sat down for a bit. I burped and thought I was going to bring up my banana that I had for breakfast. Note to self: next time rest for 30-60 minutes before going out :).

I got home and my parents werent up yet. The asked me why I was up and I told them I already went for a walk they didn't beleive me HAHA. I brought my camera and showed them some pics from the walk.

**NOTE I WILL BE POSTING LOTS OF PICTURES IN EVERY DAILY SUMMARY**

They of course had to go to MacDonalds and get breakfast, I of course didn't have any and instead at this point is was 3-4 hours after my first meal I had a lean cousin. My dad wanted to borrow my laptop and play poker while his girlfriend went to the market. I wanted to take a "small" nap anyways. The nap turned into 7 hours. GOD IM SO FREAKING ANGRY. I didn't want to do this and I am still going to try to get back to sleep before 2-3am tonight. Its so hard breaking my sleep schedule I somehow always fall back into it.

The bad thing is though when I woke I had a headache and I haven't had a headache in ages. I knew what it was coming from a family of dibetics I know the signs of low and high blood sugars fairly well. Of course 1 hour after I ate some chicken and carrots and a large glass of water. I still had my headache I knew something was up so I went and got my dads blood sucrose level device thingy mabob and tested my sugars. Sure enough 4.9 and thats after eating. I guess thats "heathly" but just after eating I am sure I should have a spike and not feel like that. I decided to make a small peanut butter n jelly sandwich on whole grain/oatmeal bread(?)

Anyways other than my sleep schedule still sucking and having a headache I am incredibly happy with today.

6:10am - Meal #1 - Oatmeal w/ Banana (2 twin artificial sugar packets) Medium glass of water - Calories: 252

6:35am - 2.2 Mile Walk

10:30am - Meal #2 - Lean Cousin / healthy choice - w/ a glass of diet pepsi max - Calories: 250

-7 hour nap LOL-

8:00pm - Meal #3 - 5.175oz of boneless/skinless grilled chicken breast w/ 4.5oz of baby carrots. side of ranch - Calories: 391

10:00pm - Peanut butter/jelly sandwich on whole grain oatmeal bread - Calories: 425 wowow :( not gonna do that again i dont think

12:00am - 6 small bitesize gingersnaps with no sugar added - Calories: 125

Total Calories: 1443 (for measurement purposes 1500) I am pretty good with measurements as I have a foodscale.

I need to cut out the peanut butter sandwich and replace a with 2 heartier meals.

I def need more calories I am going to figure how to get atleast 2,000 at my frame I think I was under my deficit by over 1000 calories and my deficit is already 1500 per day. NOT GOOD I don't think.

Here are some pics for the day.
