Welcome to 2014!
This new year brings me a new diary. I wanted to start over with a fresh slate. I want everything that happened in 2013 to stay in 2013. I’m looking forward to what this new year will bring! My old diary can be found here: http://weight-loss.fitness.com/threads/57466-My-Journey-Positive-Outlook-For-2013

As I posted in my last post in my old diary, I decided sometime in December to give up diet and exercise for the month. I had been through a lot since late November and it ran right through December. With the holiday season upon me I knew the stress was just going to be too much to handle so I “freed” myself and ate what I wanted, when I wanted. That lead to some very poor food choices. Lots of homemade cookies, lots of chocolates, lots of take out, and even some soda. As a result, my weight of 195.2lb shot up to 202.6lb (as of this morning). Not good, but I don’t regret my decision. I just wanted to enjoy my holiday as much as I could have so that’s what I did.
Well, now it’s time to get back on track. Today restarts my journey. I know it’s going to be rough for the first few days. After allowing myself so much freedom over the past month it’s going to be difficult to take it all away, but I’m up for that challenge. I intend to take full responsibility for my actions going forward where food and exercise is concerned. No more excuses, it’s time to get refocused!
As for my game plan for today. My father is currently making breakfast for the family. He’s making eggs, bacon, toast, and hash browns. Not exactly the healthiest breakfast, but it’ll be very filling so it’ll keep my snacking at bay for the day. If I’m hungry later on, it’ll be a light dinner. I’ll be drinking lots of water today, no more soda! I’m also going to be getting a workout in later today.
So with all of that said, I hope you all had a great New Year’s Eve and I hope that we can all make great progress towards our goals this year. I hope 2014 is full of happiness and success for all!
