My food + exercise + venting space

Yeaaaaaaaa I'm back.

I didn't want to rehash the old journal as this is a new year. Also my body ideal has changed a lot in the last year, mostly with the insane amount of muscle I've managed to put on.

My weight has gone up a bit again, sitting at around 70.9kgs as of yesterday- had a bit of a free for all over Christmas! At the moment I'm just trying to get back in the habit of having proper meals again, instead of breakfast, followed by gym, followed by ALL THE FOOD, with a snack for dinner hahaha!! Had an appointment with my old nutritionist yesterday so hoping I'll get my meal plan sometime today. I did the grocery shopping last night so my house is stocked anyway! Also... I'm not allowed to weigh in for 4 weeks (day of my next appointment, which is funnily enough... my birthday haha!) So my ticker won't be changing until the 11th of Feb! Which I am totally fine with.

As for goals this time around, I would really like to see 65kgs again but my main goals are measurements!! Currently I'm-

Bust- 98cms
Waist- 78cms
Hips- 98cms
Thighs- 63cms

The only measurement I really care about is my waist... I want it to be down to 70. So, those are the body goals!

I'm also starting a new course on Mon, it runs Mon-Wed (full time, so my days are 9am-3.30pm on those days) and then I am still in my boring old job Thu-Sun. Don't ask me how I'm still there, haha! I blame it on living in a tourist destination, finding work is HARD. The course I'm doing should lead into work and a new job though and it's only 6 months long, so going to be putting my head down and getting into it.

Lots of other stuff happened in the last few months of last year, I'm sure I'll mention them along the way. I'm ready for life to be hectic though and looking forward to this year!

Todays food plan

B Baked oatmeal with cherries, almond milk latte
S Rice cakes with cottage cheese and tomato
L Deconstructed sushi salad. Basically sushi ingredients dumped in a bowl instead of rolling it up, it's great
S Handful of grapes, 40g almonds
D Chicken stir fry with sweet potato and 2 eggs

Exercise Chest day!

I'm working 1-5, will be going pretty much straight from work to the gym and then home for dinner. At the moment I'm training a new friend who I will from now call SM, she actually pays my gym membership at the new gym I go to in return which is nice! She trains with me 3-4 days a week depending on what's going on. It's great for me as I have a spotter without having to pay for a PT.

Hi Lucy & welcome back! I'm interested to know more about your course. It sounds like you have a positive plan for the future which is good. Glad to have you back xo Cate

Thanks Giaz!!

Cate- I wanted to do something creative this year that could be a side hobby or just good to know in case work doesn't come from it... I'm doing my diploma in makeup services, which is kind of a bit of everything. Standard stuff, photography make up, special effects, blood and guts etc. I thought it sounded pretty fun! Also there always seems to be that kind of work around here so hoping I'll get something, even if it's makeup retail I'd be happy to get out of what I'm doing now. Also I've been looking into getting qualifications in yoga and pilates in the second half of the year, so that might happen too!! Glad to hear from you :)

I have to look into this method. Had to do the "roll of shame" on the bench the other day (really thought I had that last rep).

Anyway, welcome back, Lucy!!! :cheers2:

Thanks for the welcome back everyone!!!!

Had a good day today, food-wise and otherwise! I was so totally tired and starving by the time work finished at 5pm (just from standing around all day doing nothing.. seriously, spoke to 1 customer today) and SM picked me up and we went straight to the gym... and both looked at each other umm-ing and aah-ing as to whether we were actually going to train. She actually asked me if I just wanted to go out for coffee and I said yes, but we shouldn't! Haha!! We didn't do as long a session as we normally would but still busted out almost 40mins of chest. I was happy.

Got my meal plan too, looks preeeeeetty interesting! Will see how I go!!! Got husband grabbing a few extra bits n pieces for me so I'm fine till Sun/Mon.

Well... day 1 down I guess, 27 days till I can weigh in haha.

I guess that´s where you show you´re the trainer, great job taking the lead and pushing both of you through.

It was hard, I was so tempted to just go and have coffee and go home!! I'm glad I didn't though, on days I leave work really tired and hungry like that I tend to have a bit of a binge afterward. It really is just from boredom too, I've had enough food and sleep!

Today I'm working 11-3 and going to the gym afterward. Cuz my training schedule is mixed up this week I'm supposed to train shoulders, don't know how that'll go the day after chest/tris. Usually I train chest at the start of the week so there's a 3 day break in between. I'll figure something out!

Food is interesting now I have my meal plan!!

Hey guys!! Last night didn't end in the greatest way, I decided not to gym and to get right into the one cheat meal I get every week... it involved much chocolate and ice-cream. Just means I have to stick to plan and can't have anything off plan till next Thu! But that is ok, I've got this. I'm busy every day till then anyway.

Work was boring as ever, I have a meeting coming up on the 28th which will be a really boring day out of store BUT... because it's a whole day I get the Friday off which is awesome, that will be my next lazy/recharge the batteries day. Also I found out that I absolutely smashed commission last quarter and I'm currently the No. 1 salesperson in my department in the country. Which I found pretty funny as most days I only speak to 1 or 2 people but... whatever! I'll take it! I'm just imagining all the poor people in my job in other stores that do half the amount who are twice as bored as I am.

Today I had a bit of a sleep in, it's been dark and rainy so perfect sleeping conditions. Fitbit says I slept just over 9 hours last night which is about right. Just about to organise getting to work etc...

Todays food plan

B Green smoothie
S 2 hardboiled eggs, 1 cup rainbow salad
L Leftover Mexican rice and beans casserole (this was the base recipe: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2014/10/quinoa-fiesta-enchilada-bake.html I used rice instead of quinoa and replaced half the amount with grated zucchini, used chopped fresh tomatoes in place of the sauce, used fresh jalapenos instead of tinned)
S 50g mixed nuts/seeds, 1/2 cup grapes
D 130g jerk chicken breast (I made this in bulk), in kaleslaw mix with homemade Mexican dressing

Exercise Walking to work today, hopefully won't get too wet. It's about 55mins/ 5kms

I won't have enough time to get to other peoples diaries just yet, but I imagine work will be dead so might do so over the day.

It may be best I don't read your diary on my fast days. Oh, yum! I have missed reading about your yummy food too!

Thanks guys!!

Today has been a good day, one of the very few days I could call busy at work so that went fast. The walk there was ok, bit rainy but didn't get too wet! Also food has been dead on perfect and I have meal prepped for tomorrow. Feeling pretty damn organised haha.

Dinner tonight I haven't eaten yet but should be good, I'm supposed to have 5 cups veg in total for tonight and tomorrow lunch but the kale slaw mix I had was only 3 cups, so I added a cup of corn and a cup of combined chopped tomato/capsicum/coriander/jalapeno and dressed it with the juice of a whole lime, 2 tsp of a healthy fajita seasoning mix I bought and added in 1/3 avocado. So I'm kinda excited about this super colourful salad!

I might duck around to diaries now.

I'm pretty excited for your dinner and I'm not even the one eating it, haha. I'm bored lots of days at work (there's tax season and there's waiting-for-tax-season season) and I know how good a surprisingly busy day feels!

Haha I feel like every day is a quiet work day for me!! Except for maybe 1 day every 3 months or so. And dinner was good, pretty damn spicy though!! I think my jalapeno to salad ratio was a little bit off haha.

Today I have work, and then going out later tonight with SM and another friend LW (she's actually leaving to move near Sydney in a couple of weeks, pretty sad about it!) Going to watch Sisters.

Food plan for today

B 3 egg omelette with a cup of mixed tomato/capsicum/mushroom/onion/herbs and 2 tbsp. of cottage cheese, plus 20g almonds on the side
S 2 rice cakes with 1/3 avocado
L Salad leftovers from last night
S Actually having dinner straight after work and taking my snack to the movies. So having 130g roast beef with green beans and broccoli and gravy made from the pan juice
D At the movies- chia pudding with 1/2 cup grapes

Exercise None!!!! It's one of my laaaaaaazy days!!!

I think you posted your chia pudding recipe once, but could you do so again please Lucy. Your food is SOOO delicious sounding- always! xoC
