My First Diet

The headache could have come from cutting out coffee, but also may be from dehydration. You need to drink water all day. The food you ate during the day looks salty to me-
I had homemade biscuits and sausage gravy with a small side of hash browns for dinner.
I don't even know what this food is. Processed food is loaded with sodium, so you would need to drink more water to flush that out of your system.
Fresh fruit & veg & some lean protein would be much healthier. My kids loved raw veg & so do I. Snap peas, carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes, are great as snacks or with a meal & can be cut up & kept handy in the fridge. Good for lunches as well. Hard-boiled eggs are handy as well.
Eating & living healthy is a huge learning curve but one that benefits you & your family forever. Cheers, Cate.

I have to agree with Cate on the fresh fruit&veg. It´s hard at first to switch to cooking from scratch, especially when you have little ones to look after, but in the end you save so much money (and food additives!). Plus you´re investing in your kids´ health. Toddlers may take a while to adjust but school-age children would take a looot longer. Grapefruit is said to keep your body from depositing the fat you´re eating but be careful: store-bought juice is often no more than sugary water with a bit of flavoring. Eating the fruit is always better than drinking the juice.

Great start, by the way!

Update: No sodas all weekend! My husband really helped me get through that. Lol. I've had lots and lots of water. I also haven't had anymore headaches. I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner the passed few days (my husband helped again). I didnt eat the healthiest of choices, but I'm working on that. I'm gonna go grocery shopping tomorrow and get some healthier stuff. I must admit with 2 kids its hard to not just toss a pizza in the oven and be done, but IM GONNA DO THIS!

One of the hardest things for me when I start being 'good' is changing my diet. It's easy to eat pizza and cheeseburgers and hot dogs and fast food, anything that is quick, cheap and convenient. However, it's HARD to give it up. But, if you go to the grocery store and stock up on healthy foods (fresh fruits and vegetables, raw proteins like chicken, pork, and beef, unprocessed foods, etc) and just stick with eating it for a few days you will find it easier to avoid the unhealthier options. I'm three weeks into my current weight loss journey and I honestly haven't had very big cravings for junk food. Yes, I want them, but I don't crave them - I don't NEED them anymore. My body has adjusted and so will yours. Just give it some time.
