My Diet Plan

Hi everybody. Please take a look at my diet plan and tell me what you think; i am not a very knowledgable person when it come to fitness so please tell me where i am going wrong.

My aim is to get rid of all my body fat (Belly, waist, love handles), and tone up.

I am a male, 6ft, and waigh 13.5 stone. My abs just wont show with this fat arounbg it.

Morning:
6 eggs whites and 1 egg yolk. & a bowl of special k.

2 hours later straight to the gym and do a 20min runwhich (burnes about 260calories). Then onto the bicycle machine for 10min (50 calories burnt).

Straight home and eat chicken breast and salad.

2 hours later; tuna and salad

2 hours later special k bar, fruit and veg

And all throught the day i drink atleast 4 litres of water.

you're on the right track, but if u want optimal results there are a few more things you can do.

1. Start weightlifting. This raises your Metabolic rate/tones you're muscles/boosts your strength .. the list goes on. ONE of the most important aspects for dropping bodyfat, IMO.

2. Eat a bigger breakfast. It should be you're biggest meal of the day.

3. Eat more protein. It's the hardest macronutrient to break down, resulting in your body burning more calories just to digest it. Also a must if you decide to weightlift, as it builds muscle and muscle burns calories. You're also going to need to eat carbs with each meal before 7-8pm. As you want to provide fuel for your body when you undergo activity...so you're body has no chance to take protein from your muscle (and also just for you're brain to function properly). Cut out the carbs after 8pm'ish, as you probly wont be doing much activity past this time.

4. Try ditching the Special K and the Special K bar. They may not be classified as junk food, but they're not the best food for fat loss. Try oatmeal or a whole grain cereal with you're egg whites/protein source. Even multi grain toast with natural peanut butter etc.

5. Eat 5 - 6 meals a day. (pretty self-explanitory)

6. Don't go too low on the calories. If you drastically lower your calories in one day, fat isnt the only thing you will be burning. You'll start using proteins in your muscle for energy (since your body isnt getting enuf from your daily caloric intake), and that will result in muscle loss ... which results in always having that soft, non-solid look.

7. Eat whole foods (you seem to be somewhat on track with this).

8. Take a multi-vitamin. Very important (but keep eating ur veggies)

9. Try a thermogenic. They help increase metabolism and help your body out with burning fat. It's not a magic pill, but will aid you if you're doing everything else right. It's not absolutely required, but they do help.

There ya go .. these are some things to add to your knowledge.
Hope it helps with what you're trying to achieve. Good luck man.
