Gah. It's 1:39am right now and I'm hungry.
And I WANT to snack on something but I know I shouldn't cause I'm planning to go to bed in like 30 minutes. As soon as the bathroom is free, I will shower, brush teeth and all that... Then dick around on the computer for a few more minutes before bed.

But I'm getting hungry. And peckish....
But I really shouldn't cause I'm gonna go to bed. GAAAAAH.

*starts chugging water*

okay... i think i've lost it.
i must be sOOOoo hungry now that I'm starting to get delusional.
I'm beginning to smell freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. O__O;;

That's it. I'm gonna go to bed before I succumb to temptation. >___<

Glad You Posted Instead Of Giving Into That Temptation Wooooo Hoooooooooooooooooo

yep, just getting ready to say the same thing! Good for you for comming here instead! Thats what we are here for!

thanx guys. i don't know why but it's always before bed that i get an urge to snack... like now. :( But today is not as bad as yesterday... plus I don't smell cookies this time. :p Pity though... It smelled so good! ^__^;

I'm not sure how to curb this late night craving to snack besides chugging water. Any ideas?

Well.. you could always save some calories from your day so you can have a late night snack.
Or just keep resisting the urge and you'll probably get out of the habit of snacking late at night eventually.
OR maybe have some sort of flavored calorie free drink. Like a diet coke (if you drink sodas) or tea or coffee (decaff of course if you're getting ready to go to bed heh)... or some juice or something.
Maybe if you drink something that's flavored it will help with the urges?

*shrugs*
Just some suggestions :)

I go to the kitchen and peel a carrot and chomp away. I understand the bedtime snack attack, I try not to eat after 8:30 at night....but sometimes I just have to give in. I have had raw broccili before with just a t. of Low fat low carb dressing for dipping. Just a suggestion ;)

I've heard that chewing on a peice of gum after a big glass of water helps, but I've never tried it myself...

What you might want to try doing to avoid the 'midnight snack attack' is to make sure that whatever you have for dinner is high in fibre and/or protein. Protein takes a long time to digest, and fibre is specifically for making whatever you ate take longer to digest, so even if you take one of those fibre supplements right before dinner that should work (tip: check the "recommended dose" on the bottle and take half of that since most fibre supplements are for, ahem, other issues. Taking just a little bit though should help keep what your eating in your tummy for longer)
