museli vs porrage

whats better to have 4 breakfast museli or porrage and whens the best time to have it. And what can i put on it thats helthy any ideas.
 
Made some vanilla barley porridge this morning. Yum!!! Barley is so good for digestion and promoting healthy environment in your gut.

Serves 4

Pot barley 225g
vanilla pod

Soak barley overnight. In the morning drain and add fresh water enough to cover and leave 2 inches on the top. Add vanilla pod. Boil for 20-30 min until tender and the water has been absorbed. You can add some sea salt or some organic brown sugar to taste. You can also add some soy, almond, rice (or skimmed) milk to make it more creamy.

I'd vote for the porridge any day, just cos muesli generally has alot of wheat in it. Not that wheat is necessarily bad, i just think people eat too much of it cos it's in EVERYTHING these days. But if you were to make your own muesli with oats, dried fruit and nuts, then the muesli would provide more nutrients.
