motivation

hey can any1 help motivate me to stay on my goal? i really want to lose body fat but i just need sum motivation to STOP CHEATING on my diet...its like every 2 days i just cant help myself no matter how well i was doing!

You have to be honest and ask yourself how bad do you want it. Losing weight is a beast. It takes a heavy duty commitment. Personally I'd forget the whole idea of a diet per say, think of this as a life change. What helps me through tough food times is being involved in the journey ala posting on forums, reading fitness books, watching kickboxing and bodybuilding dvd's etc...

Also if I do mess up, which I do, I get honest about with someone and move on. Good luck.
 
Are you having cheats because you're really hungry? If that's the case you might not be eating enough. Also, you can be creative and make super healthy foods that tase really good and seem like a cheat.
Do you chew gum? Sometimes when a craving hits chewing on a piece of gum will help you forget about it.

Try this what I call the turkey walk and see if it can motivate you to focus on your goal. It lets you experience instantly what it feels like to lose 15 pounds! It is very simple - all it takes is a trip to the supermarket.

1. Take a trip to a supermarket & get a shopping basket
2. Go to the meat section & pick a 15-pound turkey
3. Put the turkey in your basket & carry it in your arm
4. Walk for 5 minutes from aisle to aisle
5. Now, feel how AWEFUL to gain 15 pounds
6. Go back to the meat section and put the turkey back
7. Walk another 5 minutes with your empty basket
8. Now, feel how GREAT to lose 15 pounds

The key is to feel the instant result of losing 15 lbs and the reward that comes with it. If you lose 15 lbs over 3 months, you hardly notice any difference since our body gradually adapts to the changes.
