Hi Anita. I've seen some of your posts on the board before and haven't really known how to respond.
I think you're having a problem with motivation because you're setting really unattainable (and kind of unreasonable) goals and then when you don't see the kind of progress you want, you're losing motivation.
I saw on one of your posts that you wanted to lose 30 lbs in a little over a month. That's over 6 lbs a week and at your current weight that's simply NOT going to happen - not unless you just stop eating and starve yourself. When you set that kind of goal and then don't make it (because it's a physically impossible goal to meet), you're going to give up and think you can't lose weight.
A healthy and safe rate of loss is about 1% of your bodyweight per week. So for you, planning to lose between 1.5 and 2 lbs per week is reasonable. In a month, you can lose around 7-9 lbs. I would even say that rounding it up to 10 lbs would be a reasonable goal.
So tell us what you're doing to lose this weight. What is your plan? What kinds of foods are you eating? What kind of exercise are you doing? We can help and offer advice better if we know what you have in mind.
And finally, start a diary here on the site. You'll get lots of support if you start a diary and then visit others diaries and post. People will return the favor and come comment in yours. People are happy to become parts of communities here - but you do have to reach out and let them know you're here.
