Hello there! Well, I came upon this website on accident while looking online for motivational 'before and after weight loss' pictures.
I am a 24y/o female college student living in Oregon. I was always a plump kid but between the ages of 15 and 22 I lived a healthy lifestyle that kept my medium 5'7" frame at a healthy 130 lbs (give or take 5 pounds, depending on the month). However two years ago I stopped working out regularly and packed on ten pounds then stayed at about 140lbs for another year.
Then almost exactly a year ago my life took a bit of a spin and I started to eat really poorly (and drink alot of beer) and packed on another 25lbs in about 5 months! I have been maintaining a weight of about 165lbs for awhile, and am now ready to lose the extra baggage!
My goal is to get back down to 130lbs within one year, but would like to lose the first ten pounds in the next two months. I have a treadmill which I am going to start walking on 3 days a week and eventually work up to running. I plan on eating less and eating healthier, but have not formulated any specific or exact dietary plans as of yet.
Oh yeah, and no more beer drinking!
I have been leading a pretty unhealthy lifestyle for the past year and know that I need some motivation and support to get back to a happier and healthier place. So that's why I am here!
