Mind Games

Hello again,

What are some positive words to tell ones self? Did you post a list for motivation? Keep old pics? What's anyone's advice on getting past the mental block, espcially when just starting????

Thanks!

Ps. Thanks for everyone who sent me encouraging messages. I am not able to get online all the time, so I just wanted to make sure I said it.

I have a favorite one for making myself work out when I'm "not feeling the love" and want to slack off in the middle - or not go to the gym at all **maximum results require maxium efforts***
for some reason that saying kept me motivated to work hard the beginning and still keeps me going when I feel lazy

I think success breeds motivation. Losing those first few pounds made me want to continue. Having people notice the weight loss in time was encouraging. Just having the proof behind me that I could do this was the encouragment I needed to keep going.

Once you've made up your mind to do it - not just play at it, but to really do it, there's nothing stopping you!

Best of luck,

Weight loss is more than effort, its an educational process, and before you are done you will have a PhD in knowing your body, and what you can and cant have. The biggest thing with truely losing weight is coming to grip with the reality that fast food, junk food, and soft drinks just cant be part of your life, ever. Once you get past that, alot of it comes rather easily.

I love eating healthy foods, and I dont feel hunger anymore. I eat at meal time, and I eat enough food to satisfy my hunger and my nutritional needs.

The hard part is convicing your body that one serving of dinner really will suffice, and that a growling stomache does not need to be stuffed.

You WILL get it, you just need to educate and prepare yourself for your journey.
