Mid-belly spare tire & more

I have two questions. I had posted the first one in my diary but my thread got pushed out of site before anyone saw (either that or I'm the odd one out:( )

1) Growing up I wore too tight pants which resulted in this roll of fat that now hangs over my belly button and on profile view sticks out past my lower abdomen. How does one fix this? Or am I just going to have to wait for an overall loss and tone the hell out of my stomach?

2) After I do any sort of exercise, be it weight lifting or cardio... anything that utilized my legs... when I'm all finished I feel this sensation in my legs which I've always thought was the little fat cells bursting from weightloss. But I think technically, that really can't be. So what is that sensation?

I don't have an answer to your first question, but to the second, I believe that is the sensation of blood flow to the surface of the skin (for it to be cooled.)

Hi BG,
I think the answer to your first question is overall fat loss.
As you lose weight, that muffin top, that I know all too well, will lessen :)

It most definitely can. If your pants are too tight and you gain any amount of weight, it can't possibly go to the hips because they are constrained into a tight space (read: no more room for fat). So the fat puffs out the top. You can call it a muffin top or a spare tire or whatever you want. But if I'd gotten pants that gave me room in the hips, I'd have a flat (yet thick) waistline.

I found links for more explanation!

Ok, the one above is what I would call a minor case of the muffin top. Now imagine a waist band that goes up to the belly button and having the fat spill out there. That's what happened to me. And it's a b**** to get rid of.
