Hello, hope I can get some help. My 15 year old wants to start working out to get upper body strength. I have an old Weider home gym. I don't know what model, but my problem is I can't figure out how to hook up the pulleys and mount the weights. It has the standard lat pulls, butterfly, leg lifts, military press and another side with squat press and leg pull ups on the other.
Any help PLEEEEASE.

What is the model # or serial #?

It should say it on the machine.

I don't know, where would I find it? There are no tags or stickers on it. I didn't see any on the metal pieces I put together. It's at least 10 years old. Has 3 work out stations.
The front with lat pulls, butterflies, leg lifts and chest press. The other side has a squat press, and the third, a leg lift station. I'm new to this forum stuff, so please be patient and thanks.

You are going to laugh. I will have to try to figure out how to do that. No, I'm not a thousand years old,(46), but extremely computer illiterate. I will have to wait for my 15 year old to come home and help with that. Hope you caught your breath from laughing so hard. I usually work, Wed. is my day off. Computers, as you can tell is not part of my job skills. I am on a mission, along with my son, to get in better shape. He is 15 years old, 5' 6.5" and 108 lbs. I am 5' 11" and 155lbs. I would love to lose 10-15 lbs. No more than that. People tell me how great I look and roll their eyes when I tell them I want to lose weight. I still look slender, but after having 2 kids and getting older my great metabolism is not the same. I'm getting the belly bulge and a little of the jiggly upper arm. My son loves and plays sports. Now is baseball tryouts. We are starting to late to build upper body strength for that, but last year his golf coach at the high school told him he needs to gain weight and beef up. His coach was very excited with his capabilities, but needs the upper body strength for better distance. Now that you know all that, I shared it because of your expertise, you what we are gearing towards. I appreciate your help.

Maybe he can help you find the model number when he gets home. Once we get that, i'm sure we can dig up the owners manual online. In the meantime, have a look around the forum and get accustomed to how it works. You can use the search button at the top of the forum to get most of the questions you have answered.
