I've been training for a triathlon and am about 5-10 lbs above my ideal weight. Every morning I've been weighing myself right when I wake up to keep the readings consistent. Something interesting happened over the last few days:
Weds: AM: Swam .5 miles, PM: Ran 4 miles, Calories: about 1.5K
Thurs: AM: Zero weight change. Swam 1 mile. PM: Ran 5 miles. Calories: About 1.5K
Friday: AM: No weight change! Feeling pretty famished all day
. PM: Swam 1/4 mile or so, ran 2.5 miles. Calories: Very hungry all day. About 2K, maybe more.
This morning: Lost 3 pounds.
What's going on? Why no weight loss at first, then I eat a bunch, and boom...weight loss? Can someone with a better understanding of fitness metabolism help me out?
