Measuring up

Another question...

If you take measurements instead of weighing yourself at which 'points' do you take the measurements to ensure they are consistent?

The only one I manage to do the same each time is the measurement of my waist - I go from the smallest point!

Lay the tape measure flat against the skin; don't pull it tight, nor let it droop.

chest circumference, just under the armpit

bust circumference at fullest part of bust (while wearing a properly fitting bra)

Waist - is around the narrowest part of the waist

Belly - around the fullest part of the belly

Hips - Around fullest part of hips. (it's generally a hand's length down from the wasit, but not always)

then i will also do my right thigh, around the fullest part and my right upper arm, around the fullest part and my calf but i've always had super muscular calves... so i don't expect much of a change there... :D

Thanks so much, that makes it easy - I just have to remember that my measurements will be 'worst case scenario' and I'll remember where to measure.

you actually should take regular measurements because you will see changes there... sometimes more so than the number on the scale
