Hello I am new here and I have been trying to change my lifestyle to start losing the weight I've put on and become more energetic. I have been jogging/walking for 2 miles every two days for the past month, but I know I need to step it up and start changing my eating habits as well. I have heard a lot about the 6 meals a day helping people, but i've heard a lot also that says it all comes down to creating a calorie deficit as well. But I am the type of person that when I let myself get to hungry I will sit there and snack on everything while I am making food. So I am hoping by trying out a 6 meal a day diet, it will help me to curve my appetite. So I was hoping to get advice from you guys/gals on how to modify my below plan into the best it can be for me.
So here is what I have so far for just one day:

Breakfast:
Oatmeal
Apple
glass of milk

midlunch:
Orange
carrot sticks
12oz water

lunch:
chicken wrap with lettuce tomato and mayo
orange
12oz water

afterlunch:
apple
yogurt
12oz water

dinner:
stir fry vegetables
orange
2 boild eggs
12oz water

That looks pretty good to me. Are you measuring/weighing your foods and keeping track of your calories? You might try registering at the dailyplate.com or fitday.com or one of those just to see how many calories you're consuming - that will help you keep track of things.

Looks good to me. The only thing I can think to suggest is to mix up your fruit a bit more. Rather than having 2 apples and 3 oranges try to include some berries/melon/banana etc so that you get a broader range of nutrients (and you won't get bored!).

Its sort of hard to tell without knowing your weight or what meal plan you are switching from. But main thing is to try it and see how it works. See if you feel hungry and see if you lose weight within the next few weeks. Certainly seems like a great way to get started!
