Hey everybody. I wanted to try and find a forum where I felt like I had a lot of support. Unfortunately I am one of those people who will do a workout plan for a week and then give up, and this time I CAN'T do it. I started a blog yesterday to chart my progress, and give a daily update on how I'm doing. Pretty much what happened was I looked at the scale yesterday and it almost made me cry. I've never been as heavy as I am, and I used to weigh 115 only a couple of years ago. If anyone went to Fashion School, practically every night is a sleepless night, the stress level is always through the roof, and the hours are so strange that it completely messes up your metabolism.

That's my blog in case anyone is interested in helping me out on there and keeping me motivated. I know that that is a lot to ask! That's why I figured a forum might be easier to keep me motivated, and already reading stories of successes has me feeling better.

Hi,

I used to not have any weight problems and was quite active but I've had 3 kids. Each time, I pretty much lost the baby fat, no worries but in the last couple of years, things just seem tougher. I mean, I work out but I just can't seem to eat right. I need some support in that regard. What is it that you need help with? Maybe we can be buddies throughout this????

Jensoccer,

YES PLEASE let's be buddies in this!! I just started this diet on Monday. All the info about it is on my blog on the first posting, and today I really had a hard time with not being able to just eat what I wanted. Here's the thing, it gets boring, and you get sick of the same foods, but if I can lose fat? I want to give it a good try. My dad does the slow carb and he said after two weeks the cravings are completely gone. Two weeks only, we can do that!

Good luck with your weight loss journey! Will be checking your blog to see how it's going. Does low carbs food have to be boring? There are many exciting options - you just need to explore

Hi there, my name is Natalie, I used to feel like you do, stress does do damage to oneself but it CAN be reversed. The main thing is to stay focused, focus on what you want, on how you want to feel, then dive right into your soul and pull out all the positives stuff that will give you what you want..One thing I used to do (in the past, trust me it wasnt that long ago) was be negative about everything and I made alot of excuses about why I am overweight today..the cold hard facts are I ate whatever, whenever and did not exercise and thats the bottomline...then suddenly overnight I said to myself, enough is enough, get off your fat behind and go and get what you so desperately want, if you want it so badly, just go and get it...its time for Nat to feel good about herself and to finally be happy..I do a lot of self talk, not out loud just quietly to myself, it helps me alot tp stay on track..I also surround myself with little things to keep me motivated for example on my pantry door i have placed a heap of written phrases that remind me why I need to keep the focus and how to do it..it works for me..I will post a picture of this into one of my albums this week, feel free to have a look..Im not here to say that I am a weightloss guru or anything like, I am so far from it, weight issues are my middle names, its the story of my life, and in my 42 years I have been the worst yo-yo dieter that walks this planet..but now, I can finally say "I will get to my goal weight" ... I finally believe that I will and I will keep it off this time for good..Positive affirmations, I say them to myself and it makes me stronger..As for what to eat, I read somewhere that if it doesnt come from an animal or it doesnt grow on a plant, dont eat it, I have stuck to these tips and have lost an unbelievable 5.9kgs in my first week, plus I made sure I exercised daily and I drink plenty of water and eat a cup of low joule jelly to suppress the hunger pains I get between meals..remember when we get thinner we dont need to as much fuel to burn but while we are bigger we do so in order to reduce our weight we must reduce the calories we intake..I hope all this blah blah helps you a little, please feel free to touch base with me and let me know how you are travelling...You are not alone in your journey, we are all here to support each other..See you in Skinnyland soon..Good Luck !!
