Max Workout

Hi all. Just joined this site as I am looking for a motivational partner. I am starting the Max Workout program in 2 weeks and looking for someone who has done it or would consider doing it. If you don't know what it is, google it. I am a regular gym goer but plagued with tendon injuries, the muscles are willing, the tendons are not. I want to embark on the aforementioned high intensity program to lose weight, tone and strengthen without injury. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Tendon and ligament strength builds slower than muscular, annoying but true. If they are damaged this will be slower still. Jrahian is our best on sports injury related training, I am likely second or third in line on this but predominantly because I have damaged myself so much when younger and had to learn.
Let us know what you are trying to do and where the damage is we can see how best to help.

Thanks for the reply. Main problem is ac joint. Have had several tears over the years and each time off for about 3 months. I work around it until there are no 'niggles' then begin other exercises that work that area.
Everything goes well for a few months, strength increases.....that's when problems occur! As strength increases weight increases then 'BAM' I slightly over extend or form is not 100% perfect and I have another tear! Have had tears in my elbow tendons but that was caused by too much weight with barbell strict curl, dumb bells seem to be fine. I must admit I am my own worst enemy. I tend to lift heavy with reps of 10 because I can!

I would say you need cycle training. 8 weeks per style, building, super strict technique, endurance repeat.
Doing this should keep you building up and safe. I did some super slow earlier this year and the intensity was insane at low weights with 10 reps. Taking anything up to 10 seconds up and the same down is not something to be done if you value sanity.

This is why I am looking at this Max Workout. High intensity training over 12 weeks which should have me throwing up but without the injuries.
