Matt's Log.

I thought I'd go ahead and add my log here. You guys seem to be great in the motivation dept. :p
.

Pre 2week warmup: 197lbs
Current: 192.4lbs -- Jan 2nd
Goal: 170lbs

I am currently on a 12 week cut plan that will end on March 28th. My main goal is to drop body fat and get down to the 170lb range, while also building a little better upper body strength. I will be updating my "current" weight every Tuesday to check on progress.

I wish I wasn't so broke. Or I would go shopping. hah.

Why so much Spaghetti you ask? Thats all my mom and them make. So, yeah. I deal. No ab's today because I will be starting full body tomorrow since my shoulder is feeling much better. Still a tad sore but I'm good to go.

Also, let me know what you guys think of the weekly routine posted above. I updated it a hair. And I just thought about it. My running is more HIIT than plain cardio.

Why:
.1 mile flat
.15 mile down hill
.25 mile up hill
-------------------------
.5 mile loop x ~7 laps. + jogging/running/sprinting

It's cold out tonight. that is all

Holy **** batman! Look at that protien count. hah. Ok, the diet wasn't totally on par today due to the fact, I'm broke, need to go to the store, I'm out of banana/ext. So, I didn't eat til lunch and had ~650+ calories and 80+ protien within an hour time frame. Yeah. I dont wana hear it! I didn't have any solid food to take back to work, so I made a double scoop shake w/ water. Yeah... Anway the rest is explainitory. Pizza isn't the best tonight but its leftovers and again, I'm broke.

On another note, my shoulder is feeling better. Not 100% but better. And my calves are sore and my glasses wouldn't stop fogging up while I was running! er

Woah, havn't updated here in a while. I'll update my livejournal tonight after the gym with up-to-date info from the past week or so.

Small update: I started lifting 3weeks ago. Week 1&2 only went twice because part of the time I was out of town for work. This is week 3, I've been twice so far this wen and tonight will be number 3. I'm down to 189.8 as of this past Tuesday (I record my weight every Tuesday morning), so, not much weight loss but I have noticed some fat loss. About an inch or so off the waist, I was somewhere between 35-36in, havn't messured yet but I went up a knotch on my belt. Which is a good sign I guess.

I am thinking about doing 20min of cardo pre-lifting and continue with 2-3mile runs on non-lift days. Any input on this would be nice. Thanks.

I personally think if fat loss is your goal that you lift first before the cardio if you throw that 20 min in there. I also think that for your height and weight you're too low cal for your activity. I understand the broke thing for food but if you can figure out your meal plan ahead of time, buying clean whole foods is actually a lot cheaper in the long run than anything else and you'll get much better results. ;) good job on everything :D

Thanks. Yeah, if you check my livejournal (later tonight) you'll see that I've mostly been eating grilled chicken and other yumminess that I cook at home. Only time I've really eaten out much is when I was out of town for work. Thanks for the input!

*edit. I have updated the journal if anyone was curious. Link at the top of this post.
