Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone had ever used a manual treadmill and could tell me if they work well or not. My family used to have a motorized treadmill but it just stopped working and we got rid of it a few months later. I'm thinking about getting one again but I saw that the manual ones are a lot cheaper. I really don't need all the fancy extra stuff that comes along with a motorized one. I just want something I can get a good workout on. Any advice would be appreciated!
Hi Nikki! I have lost all of my weight with a manual treadmill (and Weight Watchers - but mainly the 'mill!). My hubby picked it up at an auction for $5 and it has certainly been worth more than that! It is old and rickety and narrow, so I have to hang on to the rails at all times. To change the incline would require getting off and moving a "key" thingy from one slot to another - so I just don't. From the day I started, I have simply kept it set on the steepest incline. Initially I could just walk about 20 mins. Then I walked through a 1 hr tv show and ran during the commercials. Now I run for the whole time, and during commercials I jump off (carefully
) and do my calisthenics and light weights.
I have thanked him many times.
