Maintaining my weight, and keeping fit

Hey

I'm 16, about 5ft 4, male, and currently weigh 10 stone (63/64kg, or 140lbs)
Over the past few months I have been maintaining my weight at around 10 stone, well actually I've been losing very gradually which is weird, because I've just been eating more or less whatever the hell I want. Which is a fairly crap diet, I know :p
I'm just running every day for 20-25 minutes, and occassionally walking.
Every day I do a bit of walking which can range from walking just around the corner to a friends house, or walking about 3 or 4 miles into town, and then get a bus back.
My weight was sitting actually a bit higher over the past few weeks, it used to be 65 over the past while but I think its closer to about 63-64.

Well, eventually I'm probably going to clean up my diet and drop some weight.
But for now I'm happy to see the scale staying the same, and that its not spirialing down or up.

Doing the exercise will make it easier in the long run to lose weight, right? As I'll already be physically fit, is that correct?

I'll update this with things I'm curious about as time goes on, but for now thats all I'm wondering about :)

Well it depends, if you are fairly fit and thin you may not lose a lot more weight.

What is your body type, are you fairly thin or more atheltic build?

In general, yes exercise will help you lose weight but you may have to bring the intensity up a bit to see better results. Such as adding in some sprints and maybe 2-3 days of weight training.

If you clean up your diet and remove all the junk with healthier high fiber options that will also help you lose weight.

Thanks for the reply.
I think I'm fit, and getting fitter.
I've been running for, I'd say almost two months now.
I'm not sure what type of build I am now, I used to be slim but I think I've changed to perhaps average-ish.

I honestly can't judge.

I'm not happy with how I look, but as I say, I want to see if I have the ability to maintain my weight.
Over time I will be trying to get healthier.

As many of you will know, I have posted on here around this time last year when I wanted to lose weight, and I actually ended up dropping a LOT of weight and ending up in hospital with anorexia.
That is all behind me now, and I'm pretty much back to where I started.

I want to do things right now :)

I know so many of you have been through, basically the same thing I went through of overtraining and perhaps trying "too hard".

At the moment though, I'm just "taking a break" and trying to maintain this weight.

Use splenda as your sweetener of choice, when looking for a simple sugar replacement. I have tried many sugar subs over the years an no other product has the taste of sugar like splenda does. Not equal and surely not sweet and low. Splenda is outstanding for sprinkling on low glycemic fresh fruit like blueberries, raspberries and strawberries, and I also use it to sweeten my drink of choice. Caffeine Free Green Tea that I infuse with cinnamon stick and whole cloves. What a refreshing cold beverage that keeps the caffeine out of your diet, provides you a great antioxidant and does not spike your blood sugar levels by using the no calorie sweetner in splenda.
