Hi all,

I'm a 38 year old mom who's managed to successfully maintain a 90 lb. weight loss for just over six years now (and even after one full-term pregnancy!). I'm currently working on reducing my bodyfat % to get it snugly within the healthy range rather than dancing on or near the outskirts. I'd love to give lots of support, encouragement & advice to those of you who are looking to lose or maintain, as well as hopefully get some too as I strive to reach my healthy bodyfat % goal!

Nice to meet all of you!

wow - you should have some amazing advice for us folks that cant seem to stick with it. 90 lbs, very impressive.

Welcome along Petrina, I've lost a similar amount of weight this year (104) and am on the verge of goal, so I'm getting ready to start maintaining.

How did you manage the transition from losing to maintaining? It's something I've never done before, but it doesn't seem as intimidating to me as loosing weight did at first. I've been eating at around the 1500 calorie a day mark for several months, so transitioning to 2000 will be the first step for me, followed by a bit of fine tuning to find my exact (more or less) intake for maintaining.

Congrats on the 90 lbs, hopefully I'll be as successful as you've been and manage to say farewell to my own excess weight permanently. Losing it is just the first step.

Welcome Petrina,

I'm new here and so far I've lost 57 pounds with another 60 to go...I'm not ready for the "transition" from losing to maintaining yet, but hopefully it won't be too long. When that time comes, I'm really interested! Thanks for joining!
