Im 18, male, and have been tubby/fat and very unfit all my life. Of course Iv been promising myself to change for a while now, but you know how it is "Ill diet tomorrow!!!". But Iv now decided to change myself. Im sick of not being comfortable with my body. I was out in a shop today buying something cold, as Its VERY hot here at the moment (UK), when a group of boys about my age were in the shop buying stuff, all topless and fit looking, enough to impress any girl. They were all quite slim and toned, which appeals to me very much as i am quite uh, not slim, just, fat and soft. And i get worn out walking just 5 minutes.
So Iv decided that now is the time to get in shape and lose the flab and start living a proper life. Im on a course for health problems and an early grave here, but it changes now. Naturally people want to look like brad pitt asap, but im alot more realistic. Givin my college and friends, i dont think il have the time to look like brad pitt, although it would be a nice idea, it'd get me a girl friend for sure!
Anyway, so how do i do it? Diet and exercise sounds good to me, but with all these atkins, carb counting, calorie counting etc, it can be very confusing! I just want, like, slim and toned. Is there a good healthy diet for it, i dont want to be doing anything that could hurt me, Im staring at you cabbage soup diet!
Well, im 6 foot and about 14 stone, which my doctor says isnt too bad on the charts, well even my doctor agrees that there is alot of flab on me, well he called it excess fat and said spare tyre or somthing is common and nothing to be ashamed of.
I picked up some dumbells from a fitness shop, plastic sand filled ones, two sets, light and heavier. Im not rolling in money

So what should I eat and what exercise should i do? Im VERY unfit mind.
