Wednesday, January 24th and Thursday, January 25th
Well…. If I fail to ADD to my journal that day either one of two things have happened. (1) I had a very busy mommy/wife/woman day or (2) my eating habits SUCKED.

Oh trust I will post it all, but I just lack the motivation at that moment (usually in the evenings) to type up my journal.
Well the day started out really well. I had my old fashioned oatmeal with margarine and brown sugar (I can’t shake that yet, it makes the oatmeal for me. And the entire meal is only 178 calories).
I work from home on Wednesdays so after I dropped off my kids, I went and did my workout. I did the treadmill today ~ walked 2 minutes to warm up, ran a 12 minute mile, walked ½ a mile, ran another 12 min mile, walked a final ½ a mile, then did my 5 minute cool down ~ total of 50 minutes.
My first snack ~ grapes again. I had about a cup which was cool. They just don’t “wet my whistle” enough to give me that filling sensation like I’ve eaten something… like yogurt does. So if I eat them from now on, they will be a PART of a meal.
Lunch **sigh** is where it took a TURN for the “ungoodly”. I had an eye doctors appointment so it through my times off; then I did what used to be my “regulars” ~ I had lunch with one of the guys from my motorcycle club. We had bourbon chicken from the Asian place. Of course that consisted of lo mein, and I got the mixed vegetables. I know I said I was feening for Chinese food, it didn’t HIT my spot completely (I wanted chicken and mushrooms), but because I know I over ate and because I know they wouldn’t have cooked it like I should have, I’ll have to chuck it up as satisfying my craving. What is HILARIOUS is that my best friend texted me and said “don’t overeat” and my text back was “too late”. I ate all my veggies first, HAD TOO, and then started on the lo mein and chicken. I gave my boy a lot of my meat so I wasn’t THAT bad, but nonetheless.
But it doesn’t STOP there…. my snack consisted of baked Tostitos with salsa and 100 calorie bag of popcorn. I didn’t need all of that and it really wasn’t that bad. I just thank God for my kids ~ they ate a lot of it. LOL
My husband who has been working VERY WELL with me and my habit changes came to me all pitiful this weekend (prior to doing grocery shopping) and said “Baby, you are doing really well. But are we EVER gonna eat anything fried in the house again”. All I could do was LAUGH hysterically. I mean this is a man who is like 6’4, 190 lbs and his metabolism is to DIE for, so he was only due a favorite meal.
So that’s what we had for dinner…. Fried pork chops, parsley potatoes and collard greens. I mean I could have made myself something else. But we had to go to church for dance rehearsal and I didn’t have a lot of time. I only ate one though I wanted two. I only had 2 potatoes (which one is the size of half dollar I think).
Well that ended the day… not a HORRIBLE day, and I don’t do them often. I’m not proud of it, but I’m not emotional or mad about it.
Now… on to today!
Not a bad day… it started with a serving of multi-grain blueberry eggo waffles and ¼ cup of sugar free syrup. My first snack of the day was yogurt ~ I think I live and die by this stuff. LOL. For lunch, I made a tuna melt (tuna, light mayo, whole wheat bread and a slice of 2% cheese) with some baby carrots. I missed my second snack of the day and for dinner ~ which was leftovers ~ I had like ½ of a chicken breast that I had cooked earlier in the week (parmesan crusted) with a salad.
I don’t think I got in nearly as much water as I should have… but that’s okay. I went to my normal Thursday evening weight training class. The only blower, we had a RACK of “new” people who jacked up the class. I honestly felt like our class wasn’t as challenging as it usually is; now don’t get me wrong, I sweated and pumped some muscle… but still.
I’m really focused on this weekend. They are really hard for me. If I sit in the house, I get bored and want to eat. If I go out, I don’t have the right foods with/near me so it gets jacked up.
Anyway.. its 9 p.m time to put my babies in the bed!
