I started on the diet lastnight and I had 2 small boneless skinless chicken thighs and a tablespoon of mac and cheese along with 2 Tbs of chicken rice which i had never eaten before. i also ate a large lettuce salad with 1 1/2 Tbs salad dressing about 20 min before supper so that i would not over eat on the bad stuff. :hurray: i worked out my arms alittle after supper. I will be able to start the major exercising tomorrow now that the dr said its ok. I had plain oatmeal for breakfast this morning. Late this Afternoon I had lunch/supper at applebees i had a steak and a baked potato and some corn. if i get hungry later i will have a lettuce salad with a little dressing and will be good on caloric and fat intake for the day!:willy_nilly:
 
Food sounds really good Lowgirl! Welcome to the forum. I just saw your husband's diary and I think it is awesome that you both are working on this together :) All the best with meeting your goal and getting in the National Guard!
 
Thanks for the tip I didnt think about starting slow I was going to just jump in and go but i am seeing that that might not be a great plan. Today me and my husband went for a 3.3 mile bike ride and walked the other .7 mile and I feel great!! We had an Egg Beater omelet this morning with a piece of turkey bacon and a touch of cheese. I had a couple of pieces of whole wheat toast very lightly buttered. this afternoon I had a low fat ham and cheese sandwich with 1/4 tsp of mayo and a little but of mustard. Later today we are going for a walk with the kids and are supposed to do some regular exercises after lunch settles. I am not a big fan of sit-ups but I will do them and get used to them because I hear you gotta do alot of them in the National Guard.

yeah I found this killer 8 minute ab workout on youtube...I haven't even tried it yet, it hurts just watching it -_- I'm working on building up my stamina and will soon give it a try tho.
 
I have been so busy this week with a sick kid at home but I have been getting my exercise in late at night. I have found out if i listen to upbeat music like my favorite Porn Star Dancing by My Darkest Days I wanna exercise so much more and I am constantly moving and dancing which is great cardio and burns lots of calories. I managed to lose 4 lbs this week and I am not sure how because I have not been eating like I should.
