Lower abs, help

I have to apologize

"The only things that increase abdominal improvement are squatting and deadlifting.

Have those guys into core training ever trained anyone strong? Bring me someone then. I find that it's just a con job and a disgrace to the strength coaching community."

Charles Poliquin
Taken from question 3 of this article TESTOSTERONE NATION - Question of Strength: September

Previously I reacted to this post by calling charles Poliquin an idiot.
I am now realizing how the real idiot is....ME
I read the comment and without thinking I reacted. Not realizing that this guy is indeed one of the best strength coaches in the world and that the comment was taken out of context.

When charles talks about "Those guys into core training" He refers to tell-sell trainers that promote (and I quote) "Rocker boards, Pilates Reformers, and rubber sticks that vibrate when you shake them"
His point was not to say that core-training isn't important but simply that many strength coaches have lost focus on doing the one thing they are supposed to be able to do: get people strong!

I have since read many of his articles in which he encourages the training of stabilizer muscles (real core-training)

"Getting strong is not just being able to produce impressive results in the power lifts or Olympic lifts, unless of course you are only training powerlifters and Olympic lifters. Not that these movements are unimportant, but athletes must have not only a high level of strength in the muscles that will directly help performance but also sufficient strength in supporting muscles to prevent injury"

Again I apologize and should have listened to advise given to me by my parents "think before you speak"
