Hi all-
In the past, I have achieved the most successful weight loss following a very low carb plan. Generally I followed The Carbohydrate Addicts diet and typically ate two meals daily with almost no carbs, and then a "reward meal" for dinner which could have included anything I wanted, though I kept it healthy for the most part. A few years have passed and following a bad injury I have gained some of the weight back. I am now back in the gym several times a week and trying to stick to a low carb plan, but sometimes I feel like I don't have the energy to complete my workouts and sometimes, even if I do complete them, I get that voraciously hungry feeling when I'm done. During the time I was low carbing, I was working out 6 days a week. Cardio every day and upper body/lower body on alternating days. I found I had plenty of energy for this and never had that voracious hunger post workout. Now I'm doing a high intensity interval training session on the stationary bike every other day. Additionally, I do upper body work with free weights and lower body/abs on alternating days.
Can anyone recommend a plan where I can keep my carbs as low as possible but still have enough in the tank to get through my workouts? Also, does anyone have a good protein shake (low carb of course) they can recommend?
Thanks for reading!
