Low back cure

The main exercise, the solution to 90% of back problems and half of other related pains is full twisting of the spine to the left and to the right!

5 mins a day. Retrain your brain. Has anyone ever heard of this? I came across an article. Seems like the real deal.

Sounds like they're just basing it off a surface electromyography...

That might work if you have a properly aligned spine from an anterior/posterior view, but if you look at a lateral view... I don't think someone would want to do a lot of twisting like a spine in B.

In a lot of people, they get 'low back pain' from an anterior tilt of the pelvis, and/or tight hip/leg muscles... That's where I like to do a static posture screening and an ROM screening and see what's going on. (Am I wrong?)

Dex do you have aim. My screen name is champr23. It'd be good if i could chat with you for a little while. I am having low back problems. Not too bad right now but im not too great either. Maybe you could help :).

Dex you ROCK. I def. found out why i have low back pain. Omg i tried so many things. I was trying too hard to have a good back and i was tilting my pelvis forward. Mainly when i was sitting and during squats i was tilting. i.e. when i was sitting the small of my low back wasn't touching the chair. This was done to sit upright and have correct posture. Thats why i couldn't heal from my workouts and squat more than 95 lbs. Wow. funny how much i looked and never heard anything on this.
Thanks,
Ricky

Well, I talked to ChampR23 outside of this forum and got the complete info on him, because what works for him, might not work for someone else. Each person is 'designed' different, so they have to train a little different...

And what ChampR23 was doing was pushing the front of his hips down too far, creating an anterior tilt...

my prob is that my back has an arch when i lay on my back. so i'm worried that when i bench i'm going to end up hurting it. so far all i've come up with to prevent that is putting my feet up on the bench. my back does this when i lay flat on the floor too. so am i destined to work out with my feet up or is there something else i can do??

i think also i pinch the nerves in my sacral plexes from time to time. usually when i'm in one position for too long. i don't know that that can be fised thou.

Why do you think that you are pinching a nerve (what symptoms/signs)?

What do you mean by an arch? Everyone should have a natural arch in their back.

Lol well heres another question :p

Ok i have a back exactly like B, so does my mum and my sister.

This has caused problems with me in the past like back aching when standing up to long, or sitting porperly in a chair or even when i do lots of push ups. At the end it hurts and i bend my back forward which seems to ease the pain abit.

Do u know how to improve my back or even make it better like a proper spine?

Thankyou

well evo my arch seems to be alittle bit deeper than it should be i guess. or maybe i'm miss informed. my gym instructor seems to think my back should be flat when i bench. its not extreme i don't think but she thinks that it has too much of a gap. as far as s&S on the nerve thing. my guess is around lumbar spine 2 or 3 i get a i guess you'd call it pain or pressure and it radiates across my hip and down my right leg. it almost feels like pins and needles but not quite. it makes it very uncomfortable to do alot of things. this happens ever so often and sometimes if i can twist far enough i can crack it and it goes awy. some times that doesn't work so i use pressure and massage the lumbar area but that doesn't always work either. i've been to a specialist a while ago (couple years) and was told that my body is very flexible and that as i age it will get better. i'm still waiting on that one bc that was when i was 16.

I'm actually putting on a 'clinic' on low back pain in about 2 weeks for the club I work at. So after I'm done w/ that clinic, I'll be more than happy to send it to whomever that wants it...

For a 'near nuetral spine'... when you lay down on the ground and put your feet flat on the ground and have the top of your leg at a 45 degree angle, your back should be pretty much touching the ground. Some people I assess, I can put a fist underneath their backs...
